I want to sell my diamond tennis bracelet at a pawn shop. Is this a horrible idea?

It’s white gold, maybe two and half carats. It looks like a bunch of little s’s linked together with diamonds. Has anyone ever sold anything to a pawn shop before. Just looking for some feedback. Thanks.

Pawn shops are a major scam…while you may get cash on the spot, you’ll end up losing a lot of money. When I’ve sold some of my pieces I did the following: First, you should have it appraised from one or more reputable jewelers. With document in hand, try finding a jeweler who will either buy it from you or let you sell on consignment. Ebay is another option. Good luck!
