If you are planning your wedding, you know how much work and preparation is involved with creating the perfect ceremony and reception. Choosing your wedding bands should be one of the most pleasant and fulfilling parts of getting ready for the big day.

You may have considered choosing a handcrafted Celtic wedding ring that serves as a connection to your past. If your ancestry is Irish, Scottish, or Welsh, you will enjoy wearing the ancient symbols of the Celtic people at such a special time.

If your bride or groom-to-be is also interested in Celtic jewelry, choosing matching wedding bands can add a lot of style and elegance to your wedding outfits and to your wedding day photos. As well, the truly timeless beauty of the distinctive symbols found on today’s Celtic wedding bands will bestow your rings with deeper meaning and value.

It’s not too difficult to find a matched set of Celtic wedding rings once you’ve decided on a style that works for both of you. There are many fine options for matched sets, including Trinity Love Knot bands, which feature delicate, three-pointed figures crafted in the style of traditional Celtic interlace (knot work). There are also wedding bands that feature warrior symbols that were first discovered on the sixth century Ardagh Chalice. You can also enjoy the whimsical, romantic charm of Irish Claddagh Rings, which feature two tiny hands, clasping a crowned heart.

Celtic wedding rings come in a variety of finishes and style. You can find sleek, sophisticated pieces that have a subtle richness, or select bolder, more individual styles that are unique and unforgettable. Precious metals such as white and yellow gold may be combined with the pinkish glow of rose gold for a dimensional effect.

Sometimes these wedding bands feature the addition of gemstones, such as diamonds, emeralds or rubies. Choosing rings with tiny pave diamonds can add a lot of richness and glitter to even the simplest band. Emeralds are rare and precious, and they evoke the beauty of Ireland. Rubies are an enduring symbol of passion, and they have represented love for centuries.

For the budget-conscious shopper, silver Celtic wedding rings can provide a white-gold look for an affordable price. Since the artisans who craft the rings spend years learning how to recreate the ancient symbols, they offer heirloom quality and exceptional beauty, no matter what material they are made with.

Once you’ve chosen the perfect bands for you and your partner, you might want to consider adding some other Celtic touches to your wedding day. There are many ways to honor the spirit of your ancestors when you get married. Consider pretty wedding invitations that feature borders of delicate interlace, or perhaps an ornate shamrock in ivy green and gold. For the ceremony, there are many wonderful traditions you can call upon. Irish blessings and Celtic music and dancing are lovely ways to get in touch with the rituals of the past.

Finding the perfect matched set of Celtic wedding rings can be an exciting journey through the cultural history of the Celts. It can also be a memorable way to show your love for one another.

Enhanced Diamond Engagement

Enhanced Diamond Engagement
Question about my engagement ring? What would you do…?

Ok, I first had a solitaire ring that I got from my fiance when he proposed. Well recently he bought me an enhancer to add more diamonds to it. I’ve been wearing this for a few days. Well, I’ve been reading that the enhancer should be used as the wedding band. I just thought the enhancer was to enhance the engagement ring. So, if I buy a separate wedding band, I want it to be just a plain thin simple one because I don’t want that much bling, but I don’t know.

So I guess my question is.. would you just use the enhancer as the wedding band when getting when getting married? (considering I’ve already been wearing the enhancer) OR get a seperate plain wedding band?

Two options.

1) I think you posted some pictures when you asked this the other day and they were really hard to see. It would help if we could see pics.

With my ring:

I’m getting one of these:

http://www.helzberg.com/product/engagement+%26+wedding/diamond+wedding+bands/1-2ct+tw+round+diamond+ring+1674478.do?sortby=priceAscend

And I’ll use one of them as my engagement ring and then I will probably ask for a second one for our one year anniversary.

That’s why I ask for a picture. Is the enhancer something that you could add a second one? So it would be enhancer – engagement ring – enhancer.

Then, you could wear the one you have now and have a second one as your wedding band.

2) You could just take off the enhancer for now and use it as your wedding band. Then you don’t have to spend any more money!

Good luck!

how gold and diamond jeweleries are priced for 18K yellow and white hand crafted items?

Actually the pricing principles are different from one to another. Several factors would be taken into consideration, 1. the price of mental or diamond on international market, which the main cost of a jewelry piece; 2 the cost of craft work, varied in different nations as some have cheap labor cost; 3 Other cost incurred when making these jewelry pieces; 4, the setting prices of other brands or stores, most sellers will compare other jewelry’s and then set price.

Did we get my engagement ring for a good price?

I’d like to know from people who have either bought or investigated engagement rings and prices, if you think we got a good price for mine. My ring is a princess cut, on a white gold cathedral setting, with pave diamonds on all 4 sides. The center stone is .73 ct. I color, I1, (it’s a fairly good I1) and the diamonds on the ring are .5 ct. The diamond is about $2000, and the ring about $1500. The total price is around $3500.
Thank you so much for your input. It’s bad to second-guess, so I really appreciate you guys humoring me. The fact is, I’m in love with my ring almost as much as I love my man. And what’s special about it is that we picked it out together.

Plus he wants to upgrade my diamond every few years, and the place we got it from offers 100% trade in value, in addition to life-time warranty for the ring.

Thanks again.

The only way to know is to take it to another jeweler and get a rough estimate of the price. Don’t give him any information. Or, get an appraisal by the company that sold you the diamond or someone independent. That will cost some money.

The ring sounds beautiful. It’s value is in how much you love it and the love between you and your fiance’.

Men wearing jewelery has been condemned in the past especially during the time when society did not accept this practice. Although it has been shown in the history books that men of the earlier times did wear jewelery, it has become unacceptable in the succeeding eras. It was only in the mid-twentieth century that men wearing jewelery has become acceptable again as style icons such as musicians, celebrities, and sportsmen have started wearing jewelery as part of their packaging.

There are different kinds of men’s jewelery available for one to choose from and these ranges from gold to silver to platinum and even leather. Most jewelery for men are almost similar to women’s as they come in bracelets, necklaces, rings, and yes, even earrings. Earrings as part of the men’s ensemble are probably one of the last pieces of jewelery for men that were accepted in the society because they were once thought to be largely for the female species. But now with the emergence of trends, earrings for men are widely accepted in the different parts of the world already.

While men’s earrings can be made of different materials, the most recommended one is the one made out of silver. The metal silver used in the manufacture for these earrings are alloyed with copper to create a more durable material called sterling. Although not purely silver, sterling is one very workable material that is perfect when creating men’s earrings. Aside from the materials used to make silver earrings, it is also important to note that there are two types of earrings commonly used by men, and these are the stud earrings and hoop earrings. A stud earring is just like a single dot that one can see adorning the ears of men. This stud can consist of precious stones such as diamonds. Hoop earrings; on the other hand, is formed like a ring that is hanged on the lower part of the outer ear.

There are different types of silver hoop earrings that one can choose from since these earrings do not just come in plain forms but also in the many different designs there is. One such design is the double hoop earrings which are made by two overlapping hoops to create an earring that is held in place by latch backs. Another design of silver hoop earrings is the huggie which is a thicker version of the usual hoop earring. This type of hoop earring is very simple yet elegant. Other wonderful designs of hoop earrings are those that consist of two or more metals in its make such as gold and silver, platinum and gold, titanium and gold, and all the other variations these selections can make.

One does not have to worry when choosing the right silver hoop earrings for his facial frame since most of these earrings are designed to fit just about anyone. The choice for hoop earrings is also countless especially in shops that offer jewelery online like Homme Rock since these shops make sure to bring business to their clients in the most professional way.

Hammered Gold Diamond

Hammered Gold Diamond
What is the meaning?? ?

Unbreakable, O Lord,
Is the love
That binds me to You:
Like a diamond,
It breaks the hammer that strikes it.

My heart goes into You
As the polish goes into the gold.
As the lotus lives in its water,
I live in You.

Like the bird
That gazes all night
At the passing moon,
I have lost myself dwelling in You.

O my Beloved –
Return.

dude, this poem is pretty simple and straightforward, i don’t see how you don’t see the meaning in its words…

“like a diamond”, meaning that his love is unbreakable, since some diamonds are so dense that not even hammers can shatter them.

“as the polish goes into the gold”, his love is like that extra gleam, that extra dash of beauty that makes his god radiant.

“like a bird”, an aimless wanderer endlessly careening through the vastness of love.

next time try thinking about it a little more…

Good websites to purchase diamond earrings?

Looking to purchase princess cut diamond earrings online. Whats a good website with a decent price?

Don’t look for cheap though, cause you’ll get what you pay for. And, the whole point of buying diamonds is that they are expensive. But whatever you get, be sure to take it for appraisal to make sure that it is real, and worth as much as you payed.
