I just bought a quartz (clear) crystal, how do I clean a cloudy calcium-like film off of it?
This film is only on 2 sides and I can see there are spots where it is clear. I’m tempted to scrape it off but don’t want to scratch the crystal.
If I try to scratch it off, what should I use?
I would try a product that cleans mineral deposits. CLR should work. I do not believe that it will react with the silicon dioxide that makes up quartz. If it did then it would not be able to properly clean mineral deposits off of glass.
