How do you keep a 3 gallon tank crystal clear and cloudless?
I am new at this.. Three weeks ago, I purchased 3 gallon aquarium and put 2 goldfishes in it . It came with an undergravel filter, after about a day, the aquarium got very, very cloudy.. Someone told me it was going through the ‘new tank syndrome’.. Well I got rid of the undergravel filter and purchased a filter that you hang on the aquarium (Nano Filter), and it has help somewhat.. It has made the aquarium at least 80% clear. In addition to that, I’ve been making partial water changes at least once or twice a day.. My question is, how do you get it to be crystal clear? Is it necessary to change the entire tank? If so how often? Is it normal for the aquarium to get a little cloudy? Will it eventually be crystal clear? Or does it have to go thru a ‘cycling process’ in order for the aquarium to be clear? What would be the best filter for a 3 gallon aquarium?
Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay to many fish for a 3 gallon. Gold fish need 10-20+ gallons EACH!
Having the appropriate fish for the tank is the best start. About all a 3 gallon can support is a single betta.
