Different diamond cuts……?
Does anyone know a diamond cut that is shaped like a butterfly, semi-flower? I saw it in a magzine and it said calalili or something. A website may also help. Thank you
There are a few basic diamond cuts/shapes that are standard in the industry. These are round, marquise, princess (or square), emerald, oval, and heart.
The ring could have consisted of a few different shaped diamonds clustered together into the shape of a flower or butterfly. If you put 4 small marquise diamonds together, you could make a butterfly or if you put 6 small marquise diamonds together you could make a flower. It would just be a matter of getting a setting custom designed and then finding diamonds to match the setting.
By the way, a Calla Lily is a tall, very elegant white flower used in many wedding arrangements.
