Is this diamond good?

I’m looking for a diamond for an engagement solitare and have found a couple in the 1.3 ct range, E-F in color, ideal cuts, but SI1. From what I know SI1 isn’t that bad unless you’re a real expert. I’m looking at spending low $6000s (it’s a local wholesale place, not online, and has an EGL cert). Would you go for it, or should I reduce the size for a better clarity, or spend more for VS1-2?

Try and figure out first if she would even want a diamond that large, it might not look right on her. It sounds fine, but I personally would go for a little bit smaller and better quality.
