Is dilute bleach or peroxide okay to disinfect platinum/diamond ring?

Help! I need to disinfect my ring!! My platinum band has a row of 12 princess-cut diamonds that is open on the underside of the ring. I suspect that water/soap/gunk is getting stuck in the openings for the diamonds on the inside of the ring. This “gunk” is making my skin break out into an allergic reaction! I know it is the open spaces causing the problem and not the metal itself, because my matching platinum engagement ring (with no openings for diamonds in the band) does NOT cause a reaction. I want to try to soak the band in a dilute bleach or dilue peroxide solution – is that okay for the metal/diamonds?

NEVER, EVER, EVER, EVER use bleach on jewelry. It weakens the prongs. Use an antibacterial hand soap to clean it. Or just take it to any jeweler and they can clean it, they usually do it for free.
