What size diamond solitaire pendant for my wife?
She has a 1-carat solitaire diamond in her engagement ring. What size would look good for a solitaire pendant? How about diamond earrings?
Please don’t say “decide how much I can afford”. I want something that will look balanced with what she already has. If it takes me longer to afford it, then so be it.
I should also add that I’m not going above 1 carat for the pendant.
I thought it would be obvious, but I guess not. I don’t want to upstage the 1-carat engagement ring. Therefore, all other diamonds would have to be smaller, not bigger.
I’d go for around 1/2 carat in the pendant, and then stud earrings that are 1/2 each, for a total of 1 carat between the 2. A 1/2 carat is a great size; very visible but not so large that it takes away from her beautiful ring. It will match very well if you get the necklace and earrings in the same shape as the solitaire in her ring.
