Is this still considered inproper?
My neice’s wedding is next month,and I’d like to purchase something that I could wear again,like perhaps to work,or something. I found a nice pant suit,with a jacket that’s got austrian crystals on it,quite elegant,but it’s black. I thought it was ok in this day and age,however the woman at the dress store thought it was inappropriate.. Any feedback on this one?I believe her wedding is 3 pm
If your family is very traditional than it could be considered improper. You should try checking with other people that you know who are going to attend and ask what color they will be wearing. Then you will know if other people will wear black, so that you don’t stand out or be the only person in black.
