is there a difference between embossing powders and glitter?

Embossing powder is sprinkled over a inked, stamped design and heated with a heat gun. This will give you a raised “shiny” design.With glitter, it is usually sprinkled over a design that is applied with a paint or glue product that comes out of a ( I’ll do my best to describe it)plastic tube with a pointed tip. You draw your design, then sprinkle the glitter,then wait for the paint or glue to dry. You then shake off the excess glitter. All these products are available at any craft store. Ask for fabric paint.
