Is there anything that can be applied to the stones to make them shine?

Clean with a jewelry cleaner or Windex and use a gloss fan. You may need to soak for a while if they have a lot of dirt on them. You could ruin if you spray it with lacquer and dried with air bubbles or spray applied too thick.
