Is the depreciation value of Diamond jewelery more than Gold jewelery in Indian market?
I want to invest in buying some jewelery for my wedding. I’m wondering if I should go for diamond jewelery or the traditional gold jewelery. My main concern is if I buy diamond now and at a later point of time i want to exchange this set for a new fashioned jewelery may be 5 years later, will i get the same value for my old diamond set or will the depreciation value of the diamond set be more than that of the same value gold jewelery? I’m residing in India, so I’m talking in terms of Indian market for gold and diamonds.
Is there anything else I need to keep in mind while buying diamond because this is the 1st time i’m thinking of buying diamonds and I dont want to regret later after making such a huge investment in it 
diamonds do not depreciate as long as they are not damaged. gold does not depreciate either as long as it is not melted down several times, melting it changes the molecular composition.
good quality jewelry is always a good investment. buying diamonds is tricky, you must do your research and by good diamonds. im a jeweler and i have a blog to help people in purching jewelry. before you purchase do your research and make a smart buy.
