What are those blueish-purple crystal fuel they use in restaurents?
When i go to restaurants and order those “hot pots” or whatever it is called, they bring out these blueish purple crystal-like things where they light on fire, and then the waiter puts this metal bowl on top of it with broth, and then we put in things like meat, onions, and fish in there. I want to know what kind of fuel is that stuff. It burns a blueish flame.
I dont know what the thing we ordered is called so i just call it “hot pot”. I go to vietnamese restaurents often
The thing they light on fire is called a Sterno. Which is actually the brand, but it’s kind of like how people call all tissue Kleenex. The stuff inside is a gel diesel fuel. The diesel fuel will burn for a long time and is very hot.
