Most little girls go through a big princess phase where everything they seem to like is centered around different princess themes. This typically happens between the ages of 3-5 years of age. This article will give you the steps to give your daughter a great princess themed birthday party that she will never forget but also will not break your budget. It will have everything from the hot pink decorations, to the make your own princess rhinestone tiaras station, to the princess themed food to the guests goody bag items including rhinestone chokers for the little princesses to wear home.

Once you have the date picked out be sure to set a good time for this preschool age group. Typically late morning leading into lunch is the best time and no longer than two hours too for the party. Most little princesses require everything to be pink and sparkly and this can be done inexpensively with a lot of crepe tissue rolls and pink balloons everywhere. Much more than that is really a waste for this age group. A fun idea is to paint a huge castle on butcher block paper and hang it near the front door. Have all of the guests arrive in their princess costumes and get a Polaroid picture in front of the castle when they arrive with the birthday girl.

The key to a successful birthday party for younger kids is to keep them busy and entertained the whole time with short activities that flow right from one to another. The next idea is to have the princess guests go to the craft of making their own tiara. Have precut out poster board crowns already made where the girls can glue on jewels and rhinestones to make it their own.

Then follow that activity with a more physically active one to get some of the energy out. Simple games like Duck, Duck goose are popular but use different words like princess and wand instead. Another fun idea is to have a princess parade with the princesses riding on stick ponies around the yard. After this it is time for them to decorate a cardboard frame that will have their Polaroid photo in it. Crayons in sparkly colors are easy and fun for them to use as well as some pink feathers to glue on the frame.

Now it is time for lunch. Stick to the princess and pink theme by serving little sandwiches cut own like crowns and pink animal crackers as well as pink watermelon and pink juice. This will be followed by the birthday cake which also could be pink served with individual strawberry sundae cups of ice cream.

Hopefully after all of the games, crafts and food the party goers will be pleasantly tired out and have enjoyed the princess party. Along with their princess tiara and framed photo that they decorated, give them a little princess rhinestone choker necklace that they can wear home and add to their dress up collection.
