How much would it cost to have a loose diamond stone mounted to my existing band?
I have a simulated diamond center stone, and can *finally* upgrade to a real diamond of similar size/carat. About how much would a good jeweler charge for labor, mounting, perhaps setting change to accomodate the new stone?
It really depends on the jeweler. I had the same thing done and they also added more prongs so I would have six instead of three. They had to take all the side diamonds out so they could re-size it and place them back in when finished. Then they added another millimeter of gold to the band. It only cost me like $110. They were a reputable store as well. I would suggest taking it to a few jeweler’s and seeing what they quote you. Then decide from there which one fits your budget best.
