Teenagers have different fashion requirements that make them cool or otherwise, therefore, teenage jewelry is different from what adults would want to wear. Teenage jewelry signifies coming of age and combines the bouncing hormones with funk.

There is little wonder that there are several manufacturers that target teenagers and youngsters alone.

Jewelry is no more about girls anymore, jewelry is favorite among boys too, to look ‘IN’ these guys are ready to wear just about anything that looks different than the rest of the crowd. Teenagers have a variety of choice in jewelry; they have jewelry ranging from plastic to precious metals and semi-precious or precious stones.

It all depends on your tastes and definition on how you choose jewelry, and for teenagers everything cool is almost everything that is not normal. Who would want to wear normal similar earrings in both ears, when there are so many choices available? Teenage jewelry signifies youth in its very beginning therefore the colors are attractive and designs -rebellious.

Apart from the normal chains and earrings, teenage jewelry also showcases a number of different types of rings; these rings can be used for different body parts. Huge range of course is available for belly button rings, which does seem to be the thing to wear at present. Belly button rings are not just rings but lovely looking ornaments, which are designed to draw attention to waists.

In the hip-hop collection specially designed for teenagers, you will find a variety of other types of rings namely nose rings, eyebrow rings, nipple rings (ouch!!), yes those too. All the jewelry happens to be well designed and light to wear so that the skin does not get stretched.

You thing precious metals are for adults only? You can check out the jewelry that has been given a 24-carat gold plating or those small pieces of jewelry that have been made from silver further treated to look funky and attractive. You will also find teenage jewelry in made from semi precious stones, to fancier and expensive ones like Swarovski crystal.

This is no wonder that teenage jewelry is a rage and is also attracting quite some amount of business for the manufacturers. When it comes to teenagers, it seldom happens that whatever mom buys is acceptable, they would like to choose and pick, partly to show independence and partly because they want to wear something different.

You are in a situation where you do not want to hurt your child by refusing credit cards nor do you want to buy something for her yourself which she later will accept with reluctance. You can visit several teenage jewelry stores online that will make it possible for you and your daughter to sit together and choose and pick the best one she likes and you don’t even have to let go off your credit card. Ideally buying on the Internet will be a good choice if you are assured about the quality, you can visit hordes of jewelry sites and choose and pick those, which have been doing business for years and have been voted by their customers as absolutely trustworthy.

How to Make Rhinestone Belts?

Hey, I like to try new things and I once saw a girl selling these rhinestone belts she made. I’m wondering how she made them? The rhinestones weren’t glued on, there were holes in the leather so they were more sturdy. If anybody has any websites for the basics or advice, I’d appreciate it.

How about using a bedazzler. I have one and they are great. you can get them off of ebay or other sites.

No western attire would be complete without a western belt with an authentic looking belt buckle. It definitely gives a feeling of “the Old West” as seen in the movies. Western design belts go back as far as the beginning of the last century.

Western belts are made in western American influenced designs. They are usually made of the finest leather. Handmade belts are more popular and of course more expensive that the factory created ones. More fancy ones would be studded with rhinestones. Belts made with rhinestones are especially popular among cowgirls. Although the most popular colors for western belts are tan or brown, they are now available in other bolder colors that would be suitable for both men and women. Various designs are also available along with a wide range of western buckles.

Western belt buckles come in unique designs. Many of these designs have been influenced by the old west and few of them have actually completely changed from the original designs. Certain characteristics that need to be available with a cowboy belt or a western belt buckle can only be changed so much. However, whatever the design might be, these belts and buckles certainly tend to make a big impression.

Although leather is still the most popular material being sued to make western belts, manufacturers have ventured into new areas of designs and styles by using snake, crocodile, and alligator skins to make western belts. These have excellent original designs, and tend to look unique. Belts with embossed, printed or stamped designs are also quite popular with cowboys and cowgirls. Western concho belts, and belts that have a basket weave designs are also a popular kind of belts.

Even with the advent of all the mentioned designs and more, leather belts that are embossed in a traditional manner are still the most selling ones due to authentic western look. Belts made of bull hide are also popular models although they are not as fast selling as the leather ones.

Individuals who can afford can get the western belts custom made with basket weaves or imprinted with different designs as preferred. Although these would be fancier and more expensive than the traditional western belts, they are more pronounced all the same. Custom made western belts can be made out of reptile skins viz., alligator, lizard, crocodile, python, karung snake and even from animal hides such as elephant, ostrich, kangaroo skins.

I want to learn to make fashion accessories. What would I need, and how would I do it?

I was wondering how difficult it would be to make fashion accessories such as belts, bracelets, etc. (perhaps even how one would do rhinestones and similar detailing) and what I would need to go about doing that. Any information would be helpful. Suggested Books and online references would be a plus.

For beading necklaces & bracelets, tools you will need to start are a pair of chain nose pliers, round nose pliers, flush wire cutters, crimping pliers (to be used with crimping beads on wire). These are basics and will need more as you progress with jewelry making.
Other items to get started-
Stringing material- many types to use but some are better depending on the type of beads you will be using. The most versatile thing to use for general stringing is nylon coated wire that comes in different strand sizes and gauges. Brand names are- Softflex, Beadalon and Accuflex – there are many more out there but these are good ones. Strand sizes basically 7 strand, 19 strand, and 49 strand. THe more strands the more flexible. The strand number means there are that many strands of wire inside the nylon coating… you will learn as you go though. Gauge size depends on what you will be stringing on. General good size to have is .015 or .018. All this info is indicated on the spool of wire. This is what you use crimp beads on.
Other stringing materials- Monofilament, Stretch Magic (stretchy clear cord) Nymo thread- Wire is more likely going to be used most as you progress.
Ok so I could go on all night, I am going to add a link that I found most useful for all kinds of info on beading and techniques. I would start with a kit from your local craft store that has a mix of beading materials in it and buy your pliers ( those usually come in sets too). I started out with one made by readers digest and it had different stringing materials, beads and other findings in it with a book for detailed instructions. Start with projects that have some instructions so you get the feel of it and learn your techniques. The link I am adding really has instruction for everything you will need to start out and lots of reference materials.
For using rhinestones to decorate with, Swarovski makes wonderful hotfix crystals but you will need a tool called a bejeweler to apply them, otherwise you can buy regular flat back rhinestones and use glue specifically for this, I use GemTac. It works great!
Ok here is your link, make sure you browse through all the reference material and they have lots of instructions to, cause I could go on forever and don’t want to make it sound overwhelming because it’s great fun!

What is the best glue use to bind studs and rhinestones to clothing?

It is a new trend in clothing. Clothing manufacturers use glue to bind rhinestones and studs to their product to make it more appealing. Does anyone know which the best fabric glue for that job is? For example we can find rhinestones and studs on Ed Hardy and Christian Audigier clothing line. Thanks.

Many lines such as Ed Hardy use embellishments with heat set adhesives. Many crystals, stones and nailheads are manufactured with a hot-fix adhesive on the back. A special tool that looks similar to a soldering iron is used to quickly melt the glue and attach the stone to the item. These hot-fix embellishments are far more durable and less likely to fall off due to careless consumer laundering and cleaning methods. I’ve found dry cleaning is murder on glue set embellishments, while hot fix embellishments are more resistant to damage from dry cleaning. I’ve switched to exclusively heat set or old fashioned metal prong set; I simply have too many issues with cold glue sets. In my business the final nail in the coffin for glue sets was the time factor, it takes less time to use hot fix embellishments than to glue and place and wait for the piece to dry. Rhinestone guy has tools, rhinestones, information, and tips on high end embellishments. Creative Crystal sells a hot fix tool and crystals suitable for a hobbyist who wants to add sparkle to anything.

Bridal jewelry which is inexpensive can be good to medium quality, and if it’s cheap sterling silver jewelry or gold jewelry with semi precious stones or titanium bands or cubic zirconia imitation gemstones, it is likely to be good value.

The main reason to choose cheap bridal jewelry is that many people feel it is better to have something spectacular and dazzling for one day then something minuscule that costs a fortune. This may well be truest when it comes to the bridal accessories and bridesmaid sets that can cost a fortune and is a needless expense.

A beautiful pair of chandelier cubic zirconia earrings (or teardrop earrings) for the bride can be as little as $20 or$ 30 for the most delicate and sparkling pair set into a high quality costume jewelry setting, perhaps silver or other metal. They will not fall apart quickly, although eventually they will lose their shine. But for one day or two days or a special occasion they are more than adequate.

Also many hair salons that specialize in bridal makeup and hairdos will often offer a selection of hair ornaments and bridal accessories that will work well with your personal look. Since your stylists will know what makeup you will use, what dress design you have chosen and will have spent hours discussing your bridal needs and trying styles and listening to your dreams, they will be in a great position to recommend some cheap jewelry options and often have a selection of such unique and cheap bridal jewelry options right there in the salon or have catalogs for online jewelry distributors that they recommend.

Cheap jewelry online is often a way to save money but may also be a great time saver because shopping for jewelry in a shop makes you feel pressured and the last thing you need is to choose a set of bridal accessories or cheap jewels for your wedding because a salesperson was pushy. Online you can shop comfortably at your pace and without any sales stress. The prices are often lower due to the absence of overhead to maintain a fancy bridal shop, and these savings are reflected in the prices you pay.

Visit the Cheap Jewelry Online Website to find out more about getting the best bang for your buck when purchasing cheap wedding jewelry.

The top ring on my fishing rod is bent. will it affect how well i can cast?

So, i’m not sure what the actual name is, but the ring at the tip of my fishing pole is bent, or mis-shapen. whatever you want to call it. it’s not really a circle anymore, it’s more like a rounded diamond shape. Willit affect the distance of my cast? where can i get it fixed?

it would be called the rod tip, and is held in place with heat melting glue. if it is out of shape it can cause abrasion on the fishing line, take the pole to a local fishing store, and you can get the rod tip and glue for about $4.00.

An antique bottle was found in our yard with only markings on the bottom. How can I find out what kind it is?

It is a 4″ clear bottle with a cork in it and on the bottom it has a round circle and a diamond that connects in the middle of the circle which it almost looks like this 4 <0> 7 and also has the # 4 & 7 opposite each side and also it has a dot in the middle of the circle.

http://www.blm.gov/historic_bottles/glossary.htm#Makers marks probably from the owens illinois bottle factory, scroll down the link and look at the red glass bottle, see if it is the same markings.
