Crystal Bridal Blue

Crystal Bridal Blue

Every bride needs something blue for her special day. One of the prettiest ways to wear blue (which symbolizes fidelity, by the way) is to choose beautiful blue bridal jewelry. From modern to classic, navy to robin’s egg, there is a set of blue jewelry that is perfect for your wedding.

When you begin shopping for your bridal jewelry, give some thought to the rest of your wedding colors. Many couples will choose to use some shade of blue in their wedding décor, and if so, that would make a great color for your jewelry. If you are not already tied to any particular shade of blue, then you will have even more options available to you.

Think about the general feeling that you would like to create for your wedding. If your taste runs to the traditional, then the classic navy blue of sapphires will be to your liking. Don’t worry if you have not set aside hundreds or even thousands of dollars from your wedding budget to spend on your bridal jewelry. Sapphire colored Swarovksi crystals are a beautiful and affordable alternative to pricey precious gems.

Spring and summer brides might prefer to choose bridal jewelry in a lighter shade of blue. Tiffany blue is a favorite color for weddings, and it is a beautiful shade to wear in your jewelry. Crystals in that light and cheerful color combine wonderfully with freshwater pearls to make a pearl strand that is classic and yet unique. This same idea also works very well for bridesmaid jewelry gifts. You can have a custom bracelet and earring set made to give as gifts to your attendants featuring your wedding colors.

If you like the idea of mixing a variety of shades of blue, there are many fun pieces of jewelry to try. One unusual material to investigate is enamel. You can find some very pretty enamel bangle bracelets that are done in intricate patterns with vibrant blue tones. As a gift for your groom, a set of blue enamel cufflinks would help him to wear his commitment to true love on his sleeve.

For brides who simply love pearls, you may be happily surprised to learn that you can get Swarovski pearls in several beautiful shades of blue. There is a rich blue, called night blue, that is great in combination with clear crystals, or as a dramatic strand of blue pearls. Brides who like a softer blue will adore the light blue Swarovski pearls. Think about how pretty they would look as a touch of blue mixed in with traditional white pearl bridal jewelry. Very soft and feminine.

There are so many shades of blue out there that you will surely find one that speaks to you. If you love bright and modern colors, check out Swarovski crystals in a blue zircon shade. They are a great choice to use with clear crystals in a pair of long drop earrings. Brides who love all things vintage will enjoy the gentle glow of a blue-white opal. And if you are a fan of tanzanite, you can find that same signature blueish-purple hue in a tanzanite colored crystal at a fraction of the cost.

Every bride is looking for some way to add personality and interest to her bridal ensemble. Blue bridal jewelry is a terrific way to give your gown more flair. You will also find that jewelry in your favorite shade of blue is something that you will enjoy wearing time and time again.

Finding an elegant yet relatively inexpensive bridal favor can be a challenge. If you are looking for something classy and beautiful to give as a wedding favor that won’t cost you an arm and a leg you may want to consider heart shaped crystal ornaments. Here are some ideas on how you can use these beautiful ornaments to create lovely favors for your bridal party.

Crystal itself is classy, elegant and dazzling. The play of the light off the crystal creates a magical display, making crystal ornaments a wonderful way to dress up any table or gift. The great thing about crystal ornaments is that they are relatively inexpensive, yet they look luxurious and are substantial enough to work as a favor on their own. If you prefer, however, you can also incorporate them with other small gifts to create a one-of-a-kind wedding favor.

For a practical yet fun favor, try hanging a heart shaped crystal ornament around a package of gourmet coffee for each of your bridal party. They can hang the crystal in their window to catch the light while they enjoy a relaxing cup of coffee. Not only that, but the addition of the crystal can make even a rather plain package of coffee look elegant and exotic so it is a great way to keep your costs down without looking cheap.

While crystal heart ornaments are a great choice for a wedding favor since they symbolize love, if your wedding is during the winter consider choosing crystal snowflake ornaments instead. These 3-dimensional ornaments are intricately designed and are a unique and lasting gift.

To personalize your favors, consider getting the crystal ornaments engraved with either your wedding date, with the name of the person receiving the favor, or with a lovely sentiment that will create a lasting memory of your wedding. There are many different styles of crystal ornaments that can be engraved and the personalization will make them even more special to your bridal party.

Crystal wedding tiaras create a vision of enchantment at a UK wedding. Since what most brides are striving for on their wedding day is to show the most beautiful side of themselves, crystal tiaras make an ideal choice. To showcase your best attributes, you will need a tiara that will be flattering and at the same time comfortable. Once you have made up your mind about the type of wedding gown you will be wearing, it’s time to begin to accent it with beautiful head accessories. You should always take your time and look over all the different options before making your final selection.

How to Choose a Wedding Tiara

When selecting tiaras think about the elements used to decorate your gown. If your gown is embellished with crystals, consider choosing a crystal wedding tiara to accessorise your outfit.

Always know what type of hairstyle you will be wearing at your wedding when you are selecting a head dress. Short hairdos, upsweeps, and half up – half down hairdos all look great with tiaras, barrettes, pins, combs, and hair flowers.

Pick a bridal tiara which will flatter your face shape.

If you would like, along with yours, you can also choose a tiara for your flower girls.

Be sure that you are ordering your tiara in time to arrive before your hair trial and dress fitting. This way your hairstylist will be able to show you the various hairstyles that will work best with both your tiara and your wedding dress.

A Variety of Crystal Wedding Tiaras for the UK Bride

Here is a small selection of timelessly beautiful crystal wedding tiaras. They are all handmade in the UK.

The Bouquet Tiara consists of lovely modern flowers and a collection of mini Swarovski crystals which capture the light.

The Braxted Tiara has a setting of 5 Swarovski crystal flowers, along with freshwater pearl vines which has a captivating appeal.

The Audrey Tiara is a traditional look. It contains freshwater pearls from sprigs which are interwoven with very small Swardovski crystals. It is flattering to almost any facial shape or any fashion of dress.

The Astor Flower Tiara is a dazzling treasure which has a lovely Swarovski flower in the centre. It is flattering for both vintage and contemporary occasions.

So be a visionary delight on your wedding day by wearing a dazzling crystal wedding tiara.

Crystal/Pearl Bouquet, any online sites? or have any other bouquet ideas in mind?

I am looking for something different as my bouquet. My dress is a champayne colour and my bridesmaid or in cream and brown. Does anyone have any different ideas for a bouquet or know of any good online shops that sell crystal/pearl bouquets?

Here are a few sites that sell the crystal bouquets, I think they are georgeous and completly different. The first link even has a matching boutineiere. I love the cascading one, I’m not sure what your budget it though because it’s $750. The other bouquets are in the hundred dollar range and less if you make your own, and the last link that i will post is for a company that does heirloom bouquets, they make porcelain bouquets, they look like flowers though so it might not be what you’re looking for! Good Luck!

Where can I find 1999-2002 style Bridal Set Wedding rings?

I had an engagement ring from that era & really liked the styles they offered then. I had a 3 stone ring with marquee cut diamonds surrounded by lots of medium & small baguettes. I have looked on many sites & don’t care for the styles today at all. I am afraid of being ripped off by shopping on e-bay & do not want to pay someone a tremendous amount of money to design one that I know is probably laying around in a backroom somewhere.
Thanks for any help or ideas.

Try looking in the Pennysaver, sometimes you can find some great deals, or in a pawn shop, sometimes people get rid of their jewelry.

chunky or basic jewellery?
or this one?

scrap my last edit (the chunky one) decided too much…

As your dress has alot of detail I think you should go minimal or perhaps detailed earrings and no necklace.

The lighter fabric of the bridesmaids dresses makes me think that same thing for them.

This is an exciting time of year for 2010 brides – all of the top designers have just showing their latest collections of wedding gowns in New York, and it won’t be long before the styles hit the stores. This year the gowns were dramatic and eclectic, with a different flavor than this year’s wedding dresses. Read on for the scoop on the hottest looks for 2010 brides.

The wedding gowns being sold this season have a strong leaning towards matte fabrics like chiffon and slender skirts. Not true for the newest collection of gowns that was just shown. Brides who want a straighter skirt will certainly have plenty of choices, but most of the newest gowns feature fuller and more dramatic skirts. One thing is for sure: the ballgown is back.

Designers were definitely showing dresses with classic ballgown lines, but many of the fuller skirts had a lot more detail than a traditional ballgown. The drama on the bottom half of the gowns was created from masses of ruffles, big draped layers, and even incredible pinwheels and three-dimensional flower appliques. Another popular look is a gown that is fairly slender through the hips and then flares into an exaggerated trumpet skirt. The styles are definitely eye-catching and exuberant.

Speaking of ruffles, they are everywhere for next year’s gowns. Cascades of ruffles fall down a skirt into an incredible full skirt. Strapless gowns feature ruffles on the neckline. Designers were even showing ruffles on little bolero jackets and veils. One thing that these gowns are not is boring or shy.

Fabrics for 2010 bridal gowns are trending back towards the perennial favorites, satin and taffeta. This luxe fabrics are just right for the fuller skirts that are back in vogue. You are also seeing satin gowns embellished with accents such as beaded crystal straps, which pair perfectly with crystal bridal jewelry. This is a departure from the current season, which focused entirely on fabric accents. Brides who love sparkle will be happy to see the return of crystal jewelry detailing on the bridal gowns!

Some of the 2009 gown trends have been carried into next year’s styles. Asymmetry is still all the rage. The one shoulder gown sticks around for another season, but that is only the beginning. Designers went wild with asymmetrical draping and ruching on bodices and skirts. A love of interesting architecture in the way the fabric is hung and used is still very popular. It is rare to see a gown that has plain fabric hung without some sort of folding, pleating, or gathering. One notable difference is that the bridal designers have translated this concept from the soft chiffons of 2009 into the more substantial satins of 2010.

One other important idea for 2010 bridal gowns is the concept of intentional imperfection. Vera Wang, in particular, focused on creating gowns that were eclectic and not too “perfect”. This was achieved by using such fabrics as silk organza or tulle with raw torn edges in a perfectly artful way. It is a style that when done with care can be quite striking and unique.

Picking out a wedding gown is always a very special time in a bride’s life. The styles that are fresh off the runway are chic, interesting, and quite beautiful. No matter what your taste is, you are sure to find an incredible dress among the newest creations for 2010.

How can I tell the difference between a swarovski crystal and plastic?

Hey, I just bought a bracelet off ebay and it allegedly has a clear heart swarovski charm and another smaller red swarovski bead. However, I do not know how to make sure that they truly are swarovski crystal and not plastic. So, does anyone know any methods of checking it (without damaging the bracelet or seeking professional advice?)

Thanks
The Heart is described to be about 3/4 of an inch.

I was told this as one way to check but I am not 100% sure how accurate it is – but having seen the method used – you will see a noticable difference.

Get a torch and shine it through the crystal – if it is true crystal you will get a crisp clear ‘rainbow’ effect of colours on a wall/ceiling. If it is plastic, the colours will be noticably less clear and will appear ‘smudged’

Give it a go – if you have other crystal – try it on those first to get an impression of what it should look like.

need ideas for swarovski star?

i have a single aquamarine-colored swarovski crystal star that i don’t know what to do with :( it’s about the size of a U.S. susan b. anthony coin. please don’t tell me to make it into a necklace or a bracelet because i already have one and please dont mention to just hang it up in my room or something. :) it’s really special and i wanna do something extra unique with it. suggestions please! :) thanks!

Are you talking about the 28mm Swarovski Star Pendant that is being sold for about $5?

You can make it as a charm (for cell phone, bags) or use it as part of your jewellery design. If you use smaller stars or moons around it, you could make it stand out even more.
