Crystal wedding tiaras create a vision of enchantment at a UK wedding. Since what most brides are striving for on their wedding day is to show the most beautiful side of themselves, crystal tiaras make an ideal choice. To showcase your best attributes, you will need a tiara that will be flattering and at the same time comfortable. Once you have made up your mind about the type of wedding gown you will be wearing, it’s time to begin to accent it with beautiful head accessories. You should always take your time and look over all the different options before making your final selection.

How to Choose a Wedding Tiara

When selecting tiaras think about the elements used to decorate your gown. If your gown is embellished with crystals, consider choosing a crystal wedding tiara to accessorise your outfit.

Always know what type of hairstyle you will be wearing at your wedding when you are selecting a head dress. Short hairdos, upsweeps, and half up – half down hairdos all look great with tiaras, barrettes, pins, combs, and hair flowers.

Pick a bridal tiara which will flatter your face shape.

If you would like, along with yours, you can also choose a tiara for your flower girls.

Be sure that you are ordering your tiara in time to arrive before your hair trial and dress fitting. This way your hairstylist will be able to show you the various hairstyles that will work best with both your tiara and your wedding dress.

A Variety of Crystal Wedding Tiaras for the UK Bride

Here is a small selection of timelessly beautiful crystal wedding tiaras. They are all handmade in the UK.

The Bouquet Tiara consists of lovely modern flowers and a collection of mini Swarovski crystals which capture the light.

The Braxted Tiara has a setting of 5 Swarovski crystal flowers, along with freshwater pearl vines which has a captivating appeal.

The Audrey Tiara is a traditional look. It contains freshwater pearls from sprigs which are interwoven with very small Swardovski crystals. It is flattering to almost any facial shape or any fashion of dress.

The Astor Flower Tiara is a dazzling treasure which has a lovely Swarovski flower in the centre. It is flattering for both vintage and contemporary occasions.

So be a visionary delight on your wedding day by wearing a dazzling crystal wedding tiara.

How can I make a Birthstone Bridal Bouquet for step children?

My wedding is in Aug., my dress has purple swarovski crystals in it, the bridesmaids are dressed in a muted gold. I was going to use gold/cream, purple and green for my bouquet colors when I realized that’s 3 of the 5 step kids birthstone colors. I want to incorporate all 5 colors in my bridal bouquet. What flowers could I use to make this work without looking really weird? The colors are Ruby, Emerald, Aquamarine, Citrine and Amethyst. Can it work and still look good?

Looking for creative ideas like incorporating ribbons, crystals, fillers, berries, etc to get all the colors represented. It doesn’t necessarily have to be a flower for each color.

I appreciate the help!

What a fabulous idea!! Here is an idea … for aqua and amethyst you can use hydrangea; for emerald you can use wax leaves; tie everything together with a cream ribbon and use ruby pins to secure the ribbon.

Crystal/Pearl Bouquet, any online sites? or have any other bouquet ideas in mind?

I am looking for something different as my bouquet. My dress is a champayne colour and my bridesmaid or in cream and brown. Does anyone have any different ideas for a bouquet or know of any good online shops that sell crystal/pearl bouquets?

Here are a few sites that sell the crystal bouquets, I think they are georgeous and completly different. The first link even has a matching boutineiere. I love the cascading one, I’m not sure what your budget it though because it’s $750. The other bouquets are in the hundred dollar range and less if you make your own, and the last link that i will post is for a company that does heirloom bouquets, they make porcelain bouquets, they look like flowers though so it might not be what you’re looking for! Good Luck!

This is an exciting time of year for 2010 brides – all of the top designers have just showing their latest collections of wedding gowns in New York, and it won’t be long before the styles hit the stores. This year the gowns were dramatic and eclectic, with a different flavor than this year’s wedding dresses. Read on for the scoop on the hottest looks for 2010 brides.

The wedding gowns being sold this season have a strong leaning towards matte fabrics like chiffon and slender skirts. Not true for the newest collection of gowns that was just shown. Brides who want a straighter skirt will certainly have plenty of choices, but most of the newest gowns feature fuller and more dramatic skirts. One thing is for sure: the ballgown is back.

Designers were definitely showing dresses with classic ballgown lines, but many of the fuller skirts had a lot more detail than a traditional ballgown. The drama on the bottom half of the gowns was created from masses of ruffles, big draped layers, and even incredible pinwheels and three-dimensional flower appliques. Another popular look is a gown that is fairly slender through the hips and then flares into an exaggerated trumpet skirt. The styles are definitely eye-catching and exuberant.

Speaking of ruffles, they are everywhere for next year’s gowns. Cascades of ruffles fall down a skirt into an incredible full skirt. Strapless gowns feature ruffles on the neckline. Designers were even showing ruffles on little bolero jackets and veils. One thing that these gowns are not is boring or shy.

Fabrics for 2010 bridal gowns are trending back towards the perennial favorites, satin and taffeta. This luxe fabrics are just right for the fuller skirts that are back in vogue. You are also seeing satin gowns embellished with accents such as beaded crystal straps, which pair perfectly with crystal bridal jewelry. This is a departure from the current season, which focused entirely on fabric accents. Brides who love sparkle will be happy to see the return of crystal jewelry detailing on the bridal gowns!

Some of the 2009 gown trends have been carried into next year’s styles. Asymmetry is still all the rage. The one shoulder gown sticks around for another season, but that is only the beginning. Designers went wild with asymmetrical draping and ruching on bodices and skirts. A love of interesting architecture in the way the fabric is hung and used is still very popular. It is rare to see a gown that has plain fabric hung without some sort of folding, pleating, or gathering. One notable difference is that the bridal designers have translated this concept from the soft chiffons of 2009 into the more substantial satins of 2010.

One other important idea for 2010 bridal gowns is the concept of intentional imperfection. Vera Wang, in particular, focused on creating gowns that were eclectic and not too “perfect”. This was achieved by using such fabrics as silk organza or tulle with raw torn edges in a perfectly artful way. It is a style that when done with care can be quite striking and unique.

Picking out a wedding gown is always a very special time in a bride’s life. The styles that are fresh off the runway are chic, interesting, and quite beautiful. No matter what your taste is, you are sure to find an incredible dress among the newest creations for 2010.

How much would it cost to make a crystal wedding bouquet?

Just wondering if anyone knew how much a crystal wedding bouquet would cost- a larger one for me the bride. that is if I made it myself. I was also thinking of doing smaller ones for the bridesmaids and boutineers for the guys and one coursage for a girl on my fiance’s side. Has anyone done this? Any tips? I was just looking around online, and I think I really love this idea. I’m all about new ideas for our wedding :)

Does anyone know where you can get those little crystal gems for your bridal bouquet?

If you dont know what I am talking baout they are like little crystal gems flowers that you can stick in your bouquet they’re cute I just want to find them.

Most little girls go through a big princess phase where everything they seem to like is centered around different princess themes. This typically happens between the ages of 3-5 years of age. This article will give you the steps to give your daughter a great princess themed birthday party that she will never forget but also will not break your budget. It will have everything from the hot pink decorations, to the make your own princess rhinestone tiaras station, to the princess themed food to the guests goody bag items including rhinestone chokers for the little princesses to wear home.

Once you have the date picked out be sure to set a good time for this preschool age group. Typically late morning leading into lunch is the best time and no longer than two hours too for the party. Most little princesses require everything to be pink and sparkly and this can be done inexpensively with a lot of crepe tissue rolls and pink balloons everywhere. Much more than that is really a waste for this age group. A fun idea is to paint a huge castle on butcher block paper and hang it near the front door. Have all of the guests arrive in their princess costumes and get a Polaroid picture in front of the castle when they arrive with the birthday girl.

The key to a successful birthday party for younger kids is to keep them busy and entertained the whole time with short activities that flow right from one to another. The next idea is to have the princess guests go to the craft of making their own tiara. Have precut out poster board crowns already made where the girls can glue on jewels and rhinestones to make it their own.

Then follow that activity with a more physically active one to get some of the energy out. Simple games like Duck, Duck goose are popular but use different words like princess and wand instead. Another fun idea is to have a princess parade with the princesses riding on stick ponies around the yard. After this it is time for them to decorate a cardboard frame that will have their Polaroid photo in it. Crayons in sparkly colors are easy and fun for them to use as well as some pink feathers to glue on the frame.

Now it is time for lunch. Stick to the princess and pink theme by serving little sandwiches cut own like crowns and pink animal crackers as well as pink watermelon and pink juice. This will be followed by the birthday cake which also could be pink served with individual strawberry sundae cups of ice cream.

Hopefully after all of the games, crafts and food the party goers will be pleasantly tired out and have enjoyed the princess party. Along with their princess tiara and framed photo that they decorated, give them a little princess rhinestone choker necklace that they can wear home and add to their dress up collection.

Chuck R. Stewart and his daughters noticed the beautiful rhinestone tiaras and the rhinestone chokers worn by the pageant winners on TV.

There is no need to waste money on fancy jewelry cleaning solutions. You can save money by cleaning your jewelry at home using things you’ll find in any kitchen or bathroom.

Cleaning Your Silver Jewelry

Use a soft bristle toothbrush with mild soap and warm water to restore the shine and brilliance of silver jewelry. Avoid immersing your sterling silver jewelry into jewelry cleaning dips, they should be cleaned by hand. Use a soft cloth to buff your silver jewelry for a nice, clean shine.

Cleaning Your Diamond Rings & Jewelry

Use a solution of six parts water and one part ammonia. Use a soft bristle toothbrush or toothpick to remove any dirt or particles from any crevices. Rinse well in water and buff dry with a soft cloth.

Cleaning Gold, Platinum and other Gemstone Jewelry

Use a solution of mild dishwashing liquid, like Ivory. Soak jewelry in this solution for a few minutes, then lightly brush away any dirt with a soft brush. Rinse with lukewarm water and air dry or buff with a soft cloth. Be sure not to soak any soft stones like turquoise, amber or lapis, as soaking can damage their polish. For particularly dirty gold jewelry, soak in alcohol or ammonia before cleaning.

Cleaning Pearls

A mild soap and water solution works well for cleaning pearls. Then wipe dry with a soft cloth.

Cleaning Costume Jewelry & Rhinestones

Use a soft brush to sweep away any dirt and dust. Use window cleaner, like Windex, sprayed on a soft, lint free cloth to clean the stones surface. Also try alcohol on a q-tip to get in between small spaces.

With just a few minutes of care, your jewelry will be sparkling like new!

One very popular idea for bridesmaid gifts is to have jewelry made to compliment the attendants’ dresses. These pieces are often handcrafted from precious materials like Swarovski crystals, freshwater pearls, and sterling silver. Necklaces, earrings, and bracelets can be custom made in colors that coordinate with the wedding colors. One caveat, though: it is very thoughtful to give your bridesmaids beautiful jewelry that they can wear in the wedding, but do not require that it become a mandatory part of their attire. When it comes to how to put all the details together, you can probably go as far as selecting their shoes, but you cannot tell grown women how to wear their hair, makeup, or jewelry. A bride who attempts this will quickly get a reputation as a bridezilla!

Personalized gifts are also very welcome. Consider engraved sterling silver jewelry or monogrammed tote bags. It is also customary to give the maid of honor a gift that is similar to, but more elaborate than, the gifts presented to the bridesmaids. For instance, if you have chosen a necklace and a pair of earrings as your bridesmaid gifts, for your maid of honor give her the full bridesmaid jewelry set including the bracelet. It would also be a very nice touch to present the jewelry in engraved sterling silver jewelry boxes, which are very elegant and can be surprisingly affordable.

You can let the theme of your wedding inspire you. Destination weddings in a tropical climate might call for unique jewelry handcrafted from shells or with starfish motifs. Travel related pieces like a monogrammed toile garment bag would also be thoughtful bridesmaid gifts for a destination wedding. For a formal wedding, more traditional gifts, such as pearl bridesmaid jewelry would be appropriate. Make sure that the gift matches not only the style of your wedding but also the personality of your attendants.

To make it even more meaningful, be sure to present your gifts at a time when all of your attendants are together. This could be done at a spa afternoon, or perhaps a bridesmaids’ luncheon. Tying the gift-giving into a special event that the bride is enjoying with her close friends will make the bridesmaid gifts that much better. After all, it is all about expressing your appreciation for your wedding party.

If you have been oohing and aahing over the latest bridal gowns just unveiled, you have surely noticed that crystals and sparkle are back in a big way. Your gown is the obvious place to add that glamorous shimmer, but it is not the only wedding detail that can be made more fabulous with crystals. These are some of the dazzling crystal details that you can use to enhance your wedding.

Naturally, when you think of crystal, the wedding gown and the bridal jewelry are the first things that come to mind. As well they should; brides have always known that a few shimmering crystals will add a lot of elegance and a touch of drama to their big day. Most women don’t get too many chances to get dressed to the nines, and who doesn’t want to feel fabulous for their wedding? Crystal embellishments on your bridal gown can be light and subtle or strong and regal; either way, they are sure to make your dress look very special.

Your accessories are another great place to add the dazzle of crystal to your wedding day. You will want to begin by selecting a crystal bridal jewelry set that complements the details on your gown. The veil and bridal hair jewelry are also fun places to add a touch of sparkle. One wedding accessory that even the most understated bride might like a hint of glamor is her shoes. A band of crystals across the top of the shoe or a stunning crystal brooch will make your shoes wedding-worthy.

Think about some of the more unexpected wedding elements that could use some sparkle. These days it is possible to order pieces that are custom personalized with crystals for every aspect of your wedding. If you are the DIY type, a lot of these things can also be done at home. Many brides get a lot of joy from making something special for their own wedding.

One of the things that you can either order or do yourself is add a crystal motif to fabric items such as neckties, handkerchiefs, and ribbons. It may be surprising, but a small crystal design on the groom’s tie can actually be quite cool looking, and not gaudy. Something like a fleur-de-lis or a monogram done in flat crystals can be opulent or even rock-and-roll hip. Whichever motif you select, think about adding it to the hankies for the bride and the mothers, as well as on a wide satin ribbon to tie around your bouquet.

Speaking of the bouquet, this is one of the favorite places to add some sparkle. There are numerous ways that crystals can be incorporated into your wedding flowers. One of the most fresh and current styles is to weave a strand of crystals throughout the flowers. To make it really pop, use colored Swarovski crystals. If you want glamor without additional color, clear crystals can bring the perfect amount of sparkle to your bouquet. For a fun and discreet accent, wire tiny crystals into the centers of each blossom in the bouquet. It will be a magical effect as you walk down the aisle.

Once you start looking, you will find that there are numerous details in your wedding that can be livened up with the addition of a few crystals. Whether you are having an ultra-formal black tie wedding, or a lighthearted affair on the beach, a bit of sparkle will make it more beautiful. It is one of those simple things that a bride can do that will really increase the elegance of style of her wedding.
