Swarovski Crystal Necklace

You’ve probably seen those great looking necklaces that sparkle and shine with the light. Maybe you have even thought about making them yourself, but just couldn’t figure out how. It’s really not as hard as you may think.

A Swarovski necklace is really very beautiful and it’s really not that hard to make. You just have to know how to start your new necklace and what you will need to make it look it’s best.

The first thing that you will need to do for your necklace is to decide what kind of design that you want to have for your necklace. This can be done is many different ways, but the easiest is to lay out your beads in the way that you want to have your necklace lay out.

Once you have your design figured out, you will need a needle, thread and your Swarovski crystals. That way you will not be running around looking for the different things that you need for your necklace. You will want everything to be easy to find and easy to use once you start on your project.

The next thing that you will need to do, is start stringing the Swarovski crystals together. This is the best part of the whole process, because you can see the way that your necklace is really going to look when you are finished. There is only one more step after this.

Add your clasp on the ends, so that you can wear it and this will also give you an idea of how your Swarovski crystal necklace is going to end up looking. The clasp is also going to be one of the most important pieces that you will add to your necklace. The Swarovski crystals will also be one of the things that you will really notice when you are looking at your necklace.

There are many ways that you can design and make your necklace. The best tips are to use a metal based thread as well as a needle that can go though all of the sizes of Swarovski crystals that you want to add into your necklace. This will help to keep your jewelry sturdy as well as looking great for a long period of time. Make sure and take your time so that you have everything done the right way and so that your necklace will last for many years to come. Enjoy your new necklace!

It can be really wonderful if one can make pearl earrings on one’s own, since among women, pearl earrings happen to be one of the most favored jewelry items. Pearl earrings can be made easily, even as anklets, bracelets or necklaces are the pieces that come to mind, when pearl jewelry is thought of.

With alteration in the kind of earrings, the requirements for the material required for making these also changes. Dangle, chandelier and stud are among the kinds of earrings that are available. Making use of a couple of pearls that are round in shape and are quite plain otherwise, designs for earrings that are graceful and yet quite simple can be prepared. Being expensive and fancy need not be essential qualities associated with pearl earrings.

Pearl bracelets and necklaces of the matching type can also be created, apart from previously owned pearl jewelry being combined with the earrings created on one’s own. A dangle earring pair can be created by following the procedure described here, which, obviously, has to be repeated twice.

Flat nose pliers, round nose pliers and wire cutter are among the tools for making jewelry that would be required, along with ear hooks, wire and head pins. Beads made of turquoise or crystal can also be used, if a combination is desired to be prepared, besides the basic requirement of pearls for making the earrings.

The head pin’s remaining part has to be wrapped around itself, after one end of a previously made loop of wire is slipped into it. Nosed pliers are used to create the loop, after beads and pearls are strung, taking the head pin. Loops are created on both ends of the wire before that and, making use of bent nosed pliers, wire is wrapped around one loop.

For each clothing ensemble that one has, a set of earrings that matches perfectly can be created, by making earring pairs of various colors that are constructed from affordable material like freshwater pearls. Otherwise, pearls that are black or white in color can be used to create earrings that can then be worn with any clothing ensemble.

Emerald is one of the True Birthstones for Taurus: The Planter and Beautifier of Life (April 21-May 21)

The Late Spring Sign of Taurus

By the end of April the Northern Hemisphere is free of its winter snows and it is time to attend to caring for the Earth and planting crops. Taurus people are very much in tune with the Earth. Due to the influence of Venus, they have a great love for beauty found in things such as art, jewelry, and the natural landscape. They are loyal, patient, and deliberate in working toward their goals, just as farmers must be in tending their crops from planting through harvest. When a Taurus person undertakes a project, it most likely will be completed! Grounded in reality and the physical world, they excel at professions such as artist, farmer, the financial sector, and politics.

How Gemstones Can Enhance Your Taurus Experience

Taurus is a feminine earth sign. What better way to celebrate the Taurus love of beauty and the Earth than with beautiful gemstones, the hidden treasures of the Earth?

Gemstones have both physical and metaphysical qualities that can enhance all aspects of your well-being. The perfectly aligned crystal structure of gemstones creates an energy field that interacts with our own when you hold it or wear it on your body. In this way, the gemstone can be used to calm you, bring you mental clarity, increase your energy, enhance your creativity, and much more.

Astrology and Gemstones

Astrological principles manifest at all levels of creation, from the largest bodies in the cosmos to the tiniest particles of atoms-all are part of the same network of universal energy. Based on the hermetic principle “As above, so below,” those universal principles allow us to read relations among the planets and extrapolate those principles to things here on Earth, to events in our lives, as well as to our natural environment. The universal principles that govern the planets are also seen on the much smaller level of gemstones, crystals, and metals.

The Signature of Gemstones

Each gemstone is associated with specific planets. You are already aware that each planet has its own personality in astrology. And each gemstone has a personal “signature”-specific metaphysical qualities, different for each stone, that arise from the stone’s association with its planets.

How to Make Gemstones Work for You

By considering the individual signature of gemstones, you can select the right gems for very specific purposes, according to their astrological qualities.

Gemstones can be used in three different ways:

1. They are precious objects of beauty that may hold a special meaning for us. We enjoy their beauty by giving them a special place on a shelf, desk, or altar.

2. They can be used in meditation by tuning into their frequency for the purpose of balancing our energy field.

3. They can be made into jewelry pieces for our pleasure, enhancing our individual expression of beauty and sense of empowerment.

Below you will find a description of Emerald, one of the true astrological birthstones for Taurus.

Emerald: Queen and High Priestess[1]

The name of the Emerald comes from the Greek word smaragdos, meaning “green stone.” In ancient times the word probably referred not only to Emeralds but to most green stones. Its color is so special that the color emerald green is named after it.

Emerald, along with Aquamarine, is the most fashionable, precious, and popular of the Beryls. The most important deposits are in Columbia, especially the Muzo Mine west of Bogota. This stone was already highly valued by the Mayas, whose mines were rediscovered in the seventeenth century.

The Emerald crystallizes in hexagonal prisms which grow in small veins or on the walls of cavities in the stone. It has a Mohs’ hardness of 7 ½ to 8, making it a relatively hard stone. But it is a very brittle stone, sensitive to striking and pressure, and so it needs to be treated with care.

The Emerald is associated with the Moon, Mercury, Venus, Jupiter, and Chiron.

It is the queen and high priestess of the Beryl group, wielding both worldly and spiritual power. Being a queen and somewhat fragile, it needs to be treated with respect, but will return to you its manifold gifts.

Emerald shares with you abundant energy, both physical and spiritual. It helps you to expand beyond your fear into higher wisdom, praising and enjoying life. It represents infinite consciousness expressing itself through wisdom and eternal unconditional love.

Emerald is a powerful healer, connecting us with the omnipotent healing strength of God. It provides regeneration in times of convalescence. It helps to connect with our spirit in times of psychic or emotional drain, recharging us with energy and hope. In the Emerald we might find all the nourishment, empowerment, wisdom, and soothing energy we need in difficult times. It centers and calms the mind by balancing the right and the left hemispheres of the brain, raising us up into a higher meditative state of mind.

The Emerald is one of the most feminine representatives of the mineral kingdom: the Shakti, the divine mother, and the goddess. Thus the Emerald is able to teach us what it means to be a powerful woman, how to come into ourselves in all our roles and challenges as women: mother, passionate tantric lover, caring wife, and creative, successful, and fulfilled professional.

In jewelry I like to combine the Emerald and the Diamond. They are like Shiva and Shakti, Yin and Yang balancing the highest manifestations of the feminine and masculine principles in the mineral kingdom. Together they carry everything we need to support our growth.

I hope you enjoyed this new perspective onto Queen Emerald. Please let me know if you have any comments or questions and I am happy to connect.

Aloha and many blessings, Shakti.

When you are trying to look as gorgeous as possible on your wedding day, every detail counts. Other than your gown, it is your wedding jewelry that will make the biggest impact on your finished look. Because they frame your face, you want to be especially careful when choosing your bridal earrings. Here are some tips on how to find the most fabulous earrings for your wedding day.

There are a variety of things to keep in mind about selecting bridal jewelry sets in general, and earrings in particular. Your earrings should suit the style of your gown, complement the shape of your face, and coordinate with your bridal headpiece, as well as with any other wedding jewelry that you may already have. Ideally, when shopping for bridal earrings and the rest of their jewelry sets, brides will also look for pieces that they will be able to wear again for special occasions after the wedding.

That is a lot to look for all in one set of earrings! That is why it can be hard for brides to come to a decision about the small details of their wedding ensembles. Even for those who are not normally love to shop, selecting the perfect bridal earrings can be a straightforward assignment, if you break the thought process down into manageable steps.

Start by thinking about the style of your gown, and the general theme of your wedding. A formal evening wedding has a very different flavor than an informal reception at a public park, which will be different from a tropical beach wedding. Your bridal jewelry (and your gown, of course) should seem appropriate for the location. If your wedding is formal, plan on shopping for very sparkly earrings, such as Swarovski crystal chandelier or drop styles. The relaxed park wedding would call for something like a pretty sterling silver dangle to frame your face, while keshi or coin pearl drops look wonderful at the beach.

Many bridal gowns have special embellishments that can be enhanced with the right accessories. If your gown features beautiful silver embroidery, look for earrings that are handcrafted in sterling silver. Brides who have chosen dresses that have tiny seed pearls stitched to the bodice can bring attention to this lovely detail by selecting radiant pearl bridal jewelry. Perhaps your gown has a sash in a pretty contrasting color like light blue or pink; you can have your wedding earrings custom made with crystals that match to add even more depth to your ensemble.

Think about the neckline of your gown, as well, when selecting your ear baubles. Brides who are wearing strapless gowns will find that a bolder earring, along with a fabulous necklace, looks best to fill in all that open space. On the other hand, if your gown has a shoulder with heavy ornamentation, like an oversized organza flower or bow, you need to make sure that your earrings are short enough not to get tangled up in the gown’s accent.

Finally, pay attention to how your hairstyle and earrings work together. Soft, romantic hairdos call for dainty feminine accessories, while earthy flowing waves will look better with something a bit funkier. If you find a truly spectacular pair of earrings, you may just want to consider wearing your hair up to really show them off. It is all about turning your entire wedding day look into one that will make you look your most stunning on that memorable day.

Would my ears turn green or get that icky blue green junk in my ears after wearing 2MM WHITE CRYSTAL Cubic Zirconia EARRINGS STUDS with steel post (not sterling silver) What does steel posts actually mean. Would sterling silver be better for my ears.Hey im going cheap for buying earrings. I lose my earrings if i don’t wear them so i wear studs for as long as i can until i get that icky blue junk and then it gets irritated.

you are getting a allergic reaction from the cheap steel posts. steel is made from iron and zinc. you need at least to wear surgical stainless steel. or a precious metal like gold or silver.

Is there anywhere I can buy the Jolee’s SWAROVSKI Crystal Elements in single units?

I am making 2 mother’s bracelets so I need like 1 clear, 2 emerald, 2 white opal, 1 ruby, etc. I just need 16 beads total. Is there anywhere I can buy these singularly? Michaels and online they are sold in packages for like $5 a piece, and when I need a total of 9 different jewels, that gets a little pricey.

Thanks!

Hi there,
I feature Swarovski crystals in my work. I would be willing to sell you the crystals you need. I need to know what exactly you want. Are they bicones, rounds, 4mm, 6mm etc. I am placing an order for more beads by Thursday so if I don’t already have what you need I will include it in my order and then resell to you. My mission through writing this article is to broaden the horizons of your imagination while customizing Swarovski Crystal bouquets and boutonnieres. Many people may not know exactly how versatile these arrangements can be. The sky is the limit when designing in this medium. So I am going to offer several ideas that will get your mind working to create beautiful arrangements that will match not only your color scheme, but also your personality on your wedding day.

Swarovski Crystals come in endless shapes, sizes and colors. You can combine all of these in many different ways to create bouquets and boutonnieres that reflect your taste and style.

Combining Swarovski Crystals that are all the same color and the same shape but vary in size is very dramatic. You may choose to have the sizes distributed randomly throughout the arrangement or you could create a pattern with the larger crystals in the center and fading to smaller crystals on the outer edges. Or maybe try the smaller crystals in the center where they are a bit more abundant, with the larger ones on the outside. Since crystals are significantly heavier when you get to ten millimeters and above, it is nice to have them mounted on wires that are a little bit longer because this will create a lot of movement in your bouquet. Remember, the more a crystal moves, the more chances it has to catch light and sparkle incredibly bright.

Another option is to choose crystals that coordinate with your color scheme. For example, your bridesmaids and groomsmen are wearing a pale shade of blue. It is stunning to choose five or six shades of blue crystals in dark to light hues and combine them all together to create your bouquets and boutonnieres. This makes it very easy to compliment any accents that you will have on your day. Whether you are working with other fabrics, flowers, or jewelry, you don’t have to worry with matching the bouquets and boutonnieres perfectly to one item since there is such a great variation in tones.

Adding Swarovski Crystals to a traditional wedding bouquet or boutonniere is a very effective way to have crystal accents and stick to a more traditional theme. You can have the arrangements dominated by crystals or you may want to have the flowers take over and have the crystals add merely a hint of glitz and glamor.

While speaking with a bride recently at a wedding show, she told me that she would like to have a theme of rubies for her Valentines Day wedding. I suggested that she create a bouquet and boutonniere that have ruby red crystals in the center in the shape of a heart and have clear crystals surrounding them. She could have the entire bouquet arranged in the shape of a heart, a butterfly, a star, or even a grapevine.

I hope that I have helped you in opening the doors to the endless possibilities that are given to you when you choose Swarovski Crystal Bouquets and boutonnieres. For more ideas on creating Swarovski Crystal bouquets and boutonnieres visit Brilliant Wedding Jewelry to see a number of samples.

Dress – check. Veil – check. Shoes – check. Purse – check. YouÂ’ve found the perfect gown, veil and shoes but havenÂ’t found the perfect jewelry set – yet. Where should you begin? We can give you a few ideas to get you started.

The current trend in bridal jewelry is antique, vintage, and big and bold. If you are lucky to have the perfect antique piece of jewelry from a relative that you positively love, your search may be over. Not sure? Spend some time with your mother, grandmother or other favorite older relative and see what type of jewelry they may have to lend you. If you find something you absolutely love, then you have just found the perfect bridal jewelry for your wedding day.

Antique not quite your style? Rhinestone bridal jewelry is perfect for the Bling, Bling, big and bold look you’re seeing on so many brides this year. Rhinestone jewelry sets have come a long way in terms of quality and design. Whatever your style is – contemporary, Art Deco, traditional or vintage, there is sure to be a rhinestone jewelry set that you will love. The great thing about many bridal jewelry sets is that you really can wear them again after the wedding – perfect for bridesmaid jewelry sets too.

Crystal bridal jewelry sets are also another option to look at for this year. Beautiful Swarovski crystal necklace sets are available in an array of colors – one sure to match your wedding color. A trend we’ve noticed is that the bridesmaids are wearing clear crystal while the bride is wearing a clear crystal necklace set intertwined with the wedding color to match the bridal party. This look is particularly stunning with the darker wedding colors such as chocolate, burgundy, and black.

Of course classic jewelry pieces such as diamond studs, diamond teardrop pendants and diamond bracelets are always in vogue but if you’re just starting out, you may not have collected these classic pieces yet. CZ designer inspired bridal jewelry is another option to take a look at and only you will know that your jewelry isn’t the “real” thing. The beautiful chandelier earrings, necklaces and art deco bracelets you see on the red carpet will look just as enticing on you on your wedding day.

Choose whatever bridal jewelry look you like the best and you will feel as good as you look when you walk down that aisle!
