Hammered Gold Diamond

Hammered Gold Diamond
What is the meaning?? ?

Unbreakable, O Lord,
Is the love
That binds me to You:
Like a diamond,
It breaks the hammer that strikes it.

My heart goes into You
As the polish goes into the gold.
As the lotus lives in its water,
I live in You.

Like the bird
That gazes all night
At the passing moon,
I have lost myself dwelling in You.

O my Beloved –

dude, this poem is pretty simple and straightforward, i don’t see how you don’t see the meaning in its words…

“like a diamond”, meaning that his love is unbreakable, since some diamonds are so dense that not even hammers can shatter them.

“as the polish goes into the gold”, his love is like that extra gleam, that extra dash of beauty that makes his god radiant.

“like a bird”, an aimless wanderer endlessly careening through the vastness of love.

next time try thinking about it a little more…

Emerald is one of the True Birthstones for Taurus: The Planter and Beautifier of Life (April 21-May 21)

The Late Spring Sign of Taurus

By the end of April the Northern Hemisphere is free of its winter snows and it is time to attend to caring for the Earth and planting crops. Taurus people are very much in tune with the Earth. Due to the influence of Venus, they have a great love for beauty found in things such as art, jewelry, and the natural landscape. They are loyal, patient, and deliberate in working toward their goals, just as farmers must be in tending their crops from planting through harvest. When a Taurus person undertakes a project, it most likely will be completed! Grounded in reality and the physical world, they excel at professions such as artist, farmer, the financial sector, and politics.

How Gemstones Can Enhance Your Taurus Experience

Taurus is a feminine earth sign. What better way to celebrate the Taurus love of beauty and the Earth than with beautiful gemstones, the hidden treasures of the Earth?

Gemstones have both physical and metaphysical qualities that can enhance all aspects of your well-being. The perfectly aligned crystal structure of gemstones creates an energy field that interacts with our own when you hold it or wear it on your body. In this way, the gemstone can be used to calm you, bring you mental clarity, increase your energy, enhance your creativity, and much more.

Astrology and Gemstones

Astrological principles manifest at all levels of creation, from the largest bodies in the cosmos to the tiniest particles of atoms-all are part of the same network of universal energy. Based on the hermetic principle “As above, so below,” those universal principles allow us to read relations among the planets and extrapolate those principles to things here on Earth, to events in our lives, as well as to our natural environment. The universal principles that govern the planets are also seen on the much smaller level of gemstones, crystals, and metals.

The Signature of Gemstones

Each gemstone is associated with specific planets. You are already aware that each planet has its own personality in astrology. And each gemstone has a personal “signature”-specific metaphysical qualities, different for each stone, that arise from the stone’s association with its planets.

How to Make Gemstones Work for You

By considering the individual signature of gemstones, you can select the right gems for very specific purposes, according to their astrological qualities.

Gemstones can be used in three different ways:

1. They are precious objects of beauty that may hold a special meaning for us. We enjoy their beauty by giving them a special place on a shelf, desk, or altar.

2. They can be used in meditation by tuning into their frequency for the purpose of balancing our energy field.

3. They can be made into jewelry pieces for our pleasure, enhancing our individual expression of beauty and sense of empowerment.

Below you will find a description of Emerald, one of the true astrological birthstones for Taurus.

Emerald: Queen and High Priestess[1]

The name of the Emerald comes from the Greek word smaragdos, meaning “green stone.” In ancient times the word probably referred not only to Emeralds but to most green stones. Its color is so special that the color emerald green is named after it.

Emerald, along with Aquamarine, is the most fashionable, precious, and popular of the Beryls. The most important deposits are in Columbia, especially the Muzo Mine west of Bogota. This stone was already highly valued by the Mayas, whose mines were rediscovered in the seventeenth century.

The Emerald crystallizes in hexagonal prisms which grow in small veins or on the walls of cavities in the stone. It has a Mohs’ hardness of 7 ½ to 8, making it a relatively hard stone. But it is a very brittle stone, sensitive to striking and pressure, and so it needs to be treated with care.

The Emerald is associated with the Moon, Mercury, Venus, Jupiter, and Chiron.

It is the queen and high priestess of the Beryl group, wielding both worldly and spiritual power. Being a queen and somewhat fragile, it needs to be treated with respect, but will return to you its manifold gifts.

Emerald shares with you abundant energy, both physical and spiritual. It helps you to expand beyond your fear into higher wisdom, praising and enjoying life. It represents infinite consciousness expressing itself through wisdom and eternal unconditional love.

Emerald is a powerful healer, connecting us with the omnipotent healing strength of God. It provides regeneration in times of convalescence. It helps to connect with our spirit in times of psychic or emotional drain, recharging us with energy and hope. In the Emerald we might find all the nourishment, empowerment, wisdom, and soothing energy we need in difficult times. It centers and calms the mind by balancing the right and the left hemispheres of the brain, raising us up into a higher meditative state of mind.

The Emerald is one of the most feminine representatives of the mineral kingdom: the Shakti, the divine mother, and the goddess. Thus the Emerald is able to teach us what it means to be a powerful woman, how to come into ourselves in all our roles and challenges as women: mother, passionate tantric lover, caring wife, and creative, successful, and fulfilled professional.

In jewelry I like to combine the Emerald and the Diamond. They are like Shiva and Shakti, Yin and Yang balancing the highest manifestations of the feminine and masculine principles in the mineral kingdom. Together they carry everything we need to support our growth.

I hope you enjoyed this new perspective onto Queen Emerald. Please let me know if you have any comments or questions and I am happy to connect.

Aloha and many blessings, Shakti.

The long white dress has been a symbol of brides since Victorian times. However, these days, more and more women are choosing to buck tradition, and wear a wedding gown that better reflects their personal style. Why not be daring and wear a red wedding gown instead?

Did you know that in China, red is the traditional color for brides, as it symbolizes good luck and it is believed to have the power to keep evil spirits at bay? So if a white bridal gown is not your style, red is in fact a wonderfully auspicious color for a bride to wear. It is true that in American culture to wear a red wedding dress will be taken as a statement of independence or breaking with tradition, so be prepared for some funny looks from the older generation.

There are some fabulous options for red bridal gowns. These can range from red evening gowns to special custom orders to classic wedding dresses made in a red fabric. As with a regular white gown, the wedding dress should be chosen to suit the time and place of the wedding, as well as suiting the bride herself. One thing to watch out for when selecting a red gown is that it still feels “bridey” enough; in other words, you don’t want to end up looking like a bridesmaid.

Speaking of bridesmaids, what should they wear when the bride has a red gown? You will need to be careful to select a color that will look good with red during the ceremony and for the photographs. For an evening wedding, black might be a nice choice for the attendants. The finished effect would be a very sophisticated bridal party. Another color that can be paired with a red wedding gown is a rich purple. The red and purple together will look quite regal and royal, especially if done in a velvet for a winter wedding. Or go for a total reversal, and have the bridesmaids dress in white to set off the bride’s red gown. Whichever color you choose for your bridal party, you can have Swarovski crystal earrings made with a touch of red to tie everything together.

As for the bride’s gown itself, there are some wonderful ideas out there. At one wedding I attended, the bride wore a custom made red tulle skirt paired with a bespoke black corset. The full skirt with the fitted bodice made for a dramatic and extremely flattering effect. This would be on the bolder end of the spectrum of red wedding gowns, perfect for a bride who has confidence in her own taste and style.

Red is never a demure color for a wedding gown, but it can be done in a less dramatic fashion. For an evening wedding, think about a deep red silk dupioni gown with a striking portrait neckline and a trumpet skirt. Your guests will be dazzled by your elegant attire. Another lovely idea is to wear a classic strapless ballgown with a full skirt in a scarlet red silk satin. The timeless cut will be a nice contrast to the daring color choice. Finish off your look with a fabulous pair of Swarovski bridal earrings in a combination of red and clear crystals.

A red wedding gown is not for the shy or the faint of heart, but on the right bride it is an absolutely spectacular look. When you are looking to make a statement with your gown and to showcase your own special style, a daring red wedding gown might be just perfect for you.

The two famous cities of Andhra Pradesh Hyderabad and Secunderabad are known as twin cities of India.During the glorious era of the Nizams, pearls of various types were showered on the subjects by their patrons. Similarly, the kings received choice pearls as ‘nazranas’ or gifts, especially the Asif Jahis and the Qutub Shahis – The two dynasties that permanently set the pearl on Indian ornamental history.

The main shopping areas in Huderabad are Abids, Basheerbagh, Nampally and Sultan Bazar and MG Road, Rashtrapati Road in Secunderbad. The markets around Charminar are famous for bangles and pearls. Hyderabad is synonymous with pearls. Cultured pearls studded in gold and silver jewellery of exquisite design are a specialty of hyderabad jewellery. Pearls come in many shapes and of particular interest is the ‘rice-pearlÂ’ – a tiny variety. The precious “Basra”- a pearl unmatched in lustre, colour and price and is available in selected stores. Pearls are sold in strings or raw by weight.

Hyderabad is also known as the city of pearls. The pearl market is situated near Charminar. Ornaments made with Rice Pearls can be bought from Char Kaman or the General Bazaar Market.People form everywhere flock here to possess a few of these pearls. Strange that there is no sea anywhere near the city. Yet it has become almost synonymous with quality pearls.

Jewelers in the pearl markets of Hyderabad have for centuries combined pearls with the glitter of gold, the richness of rubies and the ecstasy of emeralds. It is indeed amazing and heartwarming to see traditional designs still surviving the march of history in the narrow alleys of the Old City today.

The areas surrounding Charminar like ‘Char kaman’ and ‘Mitti-ka-sher’ are famous for antique kundan and enamel jewellery, temple sarees, old bidri and silver, crystal and pearls. “Darushafa” is famous for the tissue-thin silver leaf that decorates Indian sweetmeats, and bidri ware. The appliquéd patchwork skirts, bags and belts, set with sparkling mirror and tiny beads of the Banjara gypsies; Nirmal lacquer ware, ornate brass from Pembarthi, Kondapalli carved toys, leather puppets and Warangal carpets combine to make Hyderabad, truly a shopper’s paradise.

The pearl markets of the city also offer unlimited varieties of chokers and lockets. The last few decades have witnessed a gradual influence of western designs on the Hyderabadi pearl market. However, the City of Pearls has retained it’s luster.

With so many products being offered online, it may be jarring to hear retailers offering more new innovations. Then again, the golden rule to get a good deal on a fabulous jewelry is not to underestimate the simple allure of a really worthy find. Some white G flower pendants look so exquisite and hard to find anywhere else, making them standout pieces that may perfectly jazz up an outfit that can go places from boardroom to social events. Some of the prettiest designs of white G flower pendants that you will find online are those featuring floral clusters with diamonds. There are many other elegant options like white G fashioned to look like flower petals cradling a pearl which comes with matching white G chain. Other interesting options of floral pendants in white G feature dazzling round pavé diamonds with cable chain; really alluring floral pendant with glittering diamonds and sapphires (or other gems) symmetrically arranged on a delicate looking white G disk; and a vintage-inspired pendant-necklace featuring white diamonds and, through some color enhancements, brown diamonds bordering the jewelry piece.

Some designs look so special that they make really nice pieces to bequeath to the next generation of ladies in the family who can appreciate artful jewelry crafted to look so strikingly beautiful and inspiring.

One that can add a pretty personal flair even to modern-day fashion trends that mix hard and soft fabrics (like a black leather jacket over a pastel chiffon dress worn with leggings and boots) is a white G heart locket that looks like it’s hanging sideways but looks attractive with its brushed finish and nice design featuring pink blooms and green stems.

Most individuals, when queried why they opt for a floral motif when wearing a necklace, will simply say that it all lies in the personal value or the importance attached to the giver of such gifts. Most people who buy jewelry like white G flower pendants for themselves cite the fascination for the intricate details and/or the brand itself as main considerations for buying. An Italian jewelry manufacturer is noted, for instance, for its breathtaking range of pendant necklaces in white G and diamonds and other quality materials.

Whatever your fashion style, there’s a white gold flower pendant that’s just right for you and a progeny who is bound to be just as amazed with its beauty and functionality as you were.

How can I tell the difference between a swarovski crystal and plastic?

Hey, I just bought a bracelet off ebay and it allegedly has a clear heart swarovski charm and another smaller red swarovski bead. However, I do not know how to make sure that they truly are swarovski crystal and not plastic. So, does anyone know any methods of checking it (without damaging the bracelet or seeking professional advice?)

The Heart is described to be about 3/4 of an inch.

I was told this as one way to check but I am not 100% sure how accurate it is – but having seen the method used – you will see a noticable difference.

Get a torch and shine it through the crystal – if it is true crystal you will get a crisp clear ‘rainbow’ effect of colours on a wall/ceiling. If it is plastic, the colours will be noticably less clear and will appear ‘smudged’

Give it a go – if you have other crystal – try it on those first to get an impression of what it should look like.

For centuries, it has been a tradition for a new fathers to give a new mother a token or gift of gratitude for the birth of his healthy baby. Unfortunately, gifts and tokens were rarely given unless a birth produced a male heir. Although their methods are not as socially accepted today, royal families have upheld this tradition for centuries.

Princess Diana reportedly received a diamond choker, accented with a diamond heart pendant from Prince Charles as a ‘Thank you’ for the birth of Prince William. Upon the birth of her son, Francis, Maria Carolina of Austria (Marie Antoinette’s sister) received a rank and position of Counselor of State. An old, French tradition is one wherein the new father presents his wife a diamond upon the birth of his first child. New mom gifts have spanned the centuries.

In this day and age, with the economy as unsteady and questionable as it currently is, new fathers cannot afford to give the extravagant jewels of royalty, let alone palaces and positions of rank! Luckily for them, new fathers today can buy mementos for the women who grant them heirs. This is where the newest jewelry designs and trends can help a new father give a gift to be treasured always!

Today, the Internet serves as a resourceful avenue to find the latest ideas for gifts to new mothers. Top trends include several beautiful jewelry choices including bracelets, pendants, and custom sterling silver charm bracelets. Another truly unique gift idea is a mother’s bracelet. A simple beaded bracelet with a “mom” charm dangling delicately from it will bring smiles to last for years. Name bracelets are also a hot trend right now. A mother can have all of her children’s names on one bracelet! Sterling silver cubes are strung to reveal a baby’s name.
