Actually the pricing principles are different from one to another. Several factors would be taken into consideration, 1. the price of mental or diamond on international market, which the main cost of a jewelry piece; 2 the cost of craft work, varied in different nations as some have cheap labor cost; 3 Other cost incurred when making these jewelry pieces; 4, the setting prices of other brands or stores, most sellers will compare other jewelry’s and then set price.

My engagement ring is 5/8 with clarity I1, round white & Champagne diamonds & 14 white gold. Is this good?
It’s 14K white gold, Metal color is white, Stones: 5/8 ct. t.w. round white and champagne diamonds. The setting is prong and pressure, color rating is white diamonds H/I and champagne diamonds, clarity is I1-12. They’re selling it for $634.07 is this a good price for this type of ring? Please help!

What would a 14kt chips anniversary ring with 10 round diamond chips and 12 bagget diamond chips be worth?
went to a pawn shop n they offered me 30$ for it im just curious what its actually worth the diamonds are real n i have the pawn shop description it says Womans 14 kt chips 4.2g/yg Anniversary Band (10 Roun Chips) (12 Bagg Chips)
The ring weighs 4.2 grams of 14kt gold, so that alone would be worth more than what they offered. Even if the diamonds are chips, if the whole ring looks nice, I would try and sell it maybe on ebay or so. Pawn shops don’t pay well.

Sapphire and Diamonds… What matches best?
I’m trying to find the best combination necklace & earrings for my wife. But I cant decide at all on what will match the best, and I know next to nothing about how to properly match jewelery, etc… At first I wanted to go with a sapphire necklace and matching sapphire earrings, but I thought that if she was going to wear a sapphire necklace that it should be the focal point, and the earrings should be more-so something like diamonds. So, out of the three option below, which seems like the best match?
1. Sapphire necklace, with two small diamond rounds and sapphire earrings of the same design.
2. Sapphire necklace, with small accent diamonds and diamond stud earrings.
3. Solitaire diamond necklace and sapphire earrings.(I have no idea if this even matches, but it’s an option I’m considering.)

I would suggest that you go to a jewelry store and consult with them. They can show you matched sets or individual pieces that would compliment each other.
Personally, I would prefer a necklace with earrings of the same design. The earrings are usually smaller, but take one or two elements from the necklace.
I have a necklace and earrings set that my husband bought me. The earrings and necklace complement each other because the design matches, but the necklace is still the focal point.

I got a 3 ct diamond pendant as a gift. It’s a circle with 50 small diamonds all around. How much is it worth?

Firstly, do not take your diamond to a ‘standard’ jeweller for a valuation, you need to get someone with diamond expertise to carry out the valuation.
Also note the jewellers typically charge 2 to 3 times the trade price for a diamond, they make huge profit margins. So, their valuation is likely to reflect this mark-up and not what you would actually get if you sold it.
My recommendation would be to visit a diamond trader or a company that works with diamond traders. In the UK I would recommend www.bestdiamonds.co.uk, they know a huge amount about diamonds, provide a lot of helpful information, and give free valuations. There must be similar companies in the US.
As to value a 3 carat diamond; if it looks white and with no imperfections that can be see with the ‘naked eye’, in a round brilliant cut, it is likely to be worth from $20,000 upwards to well over $100,000 for top quality. Key also to note is the size, if your diamond is just under 3 carat (e.g. 2.99) it would be worth a lot less than a 3.00 carat. The smaller diamonds sound very small and would have little value in themselves, however they would need to be seen to verify this.

What does 373 stamped on gold jewellry mean?
I just got a pair of earrings that have a hallmark that is too small to read and the number 373 stamped on the studs. They are gold with a square diamond-like stone under a white gold bow. I say “diamond-like” as I don’t for a moment believe they are real diamonds. They are from Fraser Hart jewellers in England. Any help would be appreciated.

for a 10 carat diamond alone it is $180,000 a 5 carat stone is about $80,000 but it also depends on the stone clarity.

Pink diamond, rose necklace question?
My grandmother gave me a 10k gold necklace with a rose in the middle of the rose is a pink diamond. On the back it says ‘S.FIORI’ and ’925′ The only thing I can find is Sophia Fiori but I can’t find anyhting on necklaces seems she does rings mostly. Could anyone help me out do you know any jewler with that name? If needed I can post a picture later just ask.

Here’s a thought–does it look like the “rose” might be a different metal than the necklace? The reason I ask is “925″ is the modern way of indicating the metal passed the test for sterling silver. (In olden days, it was a lion instead of the “925.”) Sometimes the 925 appears inside an oval, but not always.
If the necklace’s chain is a different metal than the rose, it’s possible the S. Fiori designer crafted it as a ring or pendant–not originally intended as a necklace.
