Mens Canary Diamond

Mens Canary Diamond

The colors of the gemstones are what make them look so dazzling and alluring. The most dazzling gemstones are the precious stones. Emeralds, rubies and sapphires are known primarily for their bright green, red and blue colors. While sapphire is also available in colors like pink, green and yellow. Nevertheless, all gemstones have beautiful colors, which increase their exquisiteness. For instance, pearls are white, pink, red, aquamarine is bluish green, amethyst is purple, garnets are green, red, purple, and topaz is yellow and orange in color. Gems also come in different shades of colors, like blue, green or red.

You can choose your gemstone according to the color you like. The deepest or richest colors are the most valuable and expensive stones. Emeralds have different shades of green, but the most popular shade is the bluish green, which is the richest color. Sapphires too are found in pink, green, yellow and different shades of blue. However, the rich blue color is the most valuable and popular stone. Rubies are also found in different shades of red, while the color known, as “pigeon’s blood” is the darkest and richest red available, which is very powerful. This deep red ruby is mined only in Myanmar.

When precious stones are found in mines, they do not look as attractive as they should be. Stones are usually polished, carved and cut into different shapes and sizes for it to acquire its beauty. According to the polish of the stone, the value increases.

It is a common notion that the deeper and richer the color of the stone, the more precious and valuable it is. For instance, bright white pearls, green garnets, royal purple amethysts, yellow topaz, deep red corals are the most precious and valuable gem stones existing. A lighter colored gemstone, like a light green garnet isn’t as precious as a parrot green garnet.

It is very difficult to obtain the richest color of a stone, as they are very rare. Thus most of the people settle with lighter colors, as they are easily available and very affordable. These days, people prefer a lighter garnet, or a lighter purple amethyst, as it is next to impossible to afford or find the “perfect” green or purple. As long as the gemstone is powerful and attractive people are content.

However, it is strange that diamond, which is the most expensive and exquisite gemstone, is valued by how colorless it is. Diamonds are rated according to their shine, and neutral color. If the diamond is white or pale pink, it is regarded as a low grade diamond. But if the diamond is known as a pink diamond, or a canary diamond then it is considered worthy. The most high priced diamonds are oddly, colorless.

Diamond Stud Earings

Diamond Stud Earings

On the topic of fashion advice for women buying diamond stud earrings, there are some well kept secrets about the setting styles and how appropriate they are for fitting your ear. Depending on the setting, a diamond stud can either droop downward, or sit smartly forward on the ear lobe. It is a shame to invest in a fine pair of diamonds that have a sloppy appearance when worn.

First, let’s dispense with the smaller stones: if you are buying one half carat or less total weight (meaning that each diamond weighs a quarter carat), then just about any setting style will be fine because it is very light weight.

However, if you are buying a one carat, two carat or larger pair of earrings, you need to carefully consider the setting style. There are three basic setting styles which are described below.

Crown style settings: Most retail jewelers sell a crown style setting that pushes the diamond (and the weight) forward. The heavy weight of this setting will often cause the earring to droop downward in your ear lobe, which results in a sloppy look. The crown style setting looks like a solid metal cup with oval cutouts which extend into the 4 prongs that secure the diamond.

Basket style settings: Better diamond studs are mounted deep in a basket setting, which balances the weight more evenly and and results in an earring that displays more or less straight forward in the ear. The basket setting is not solid metal. It is lighter open wire and looks like a hoop at the bottom with four perpendicular prong wires, and a second hoop near the top. If you purchase basket settings, the diamond should be set low in the basket, to keep the center of gravity as close as possible to the ear lobe, for a proper fit.

Martini style settings: The best setting, however, is difficult to find, and it is called a martini style setting. In this style, the back of the diamond (or culet) rests most nearly against the ear lobe. Because the center of gravity is further backwards, the diamond rests straight forward in the ear lobe, for a neat, clean forward look. Martini style settings hold the diamond with three prongs as opposed to four prongs as in the previous two styles of setting. This shows off the brilliance and fire of the diamond more effectively because there is less metal covering the actual stone itself. If you hold the martini setting with the post downward, it appears like a martini glass, with three simple wires that secure the diamond and extend to three prongs.

In short, if you are looking for a large pair of diamond studs, you should consider a Martini style setting.

Other style settings: As an alternate, you may want to consider a setting style known as the Eurowire setting or lever-back setting. Strictly speaking, this is not a diamond stud, but it is a pretty setting. The Eurowire is a C-shaped wire that fits through your ear piercing and snaps shut in the back. The entire wire is hidden behind the ear and the diamond stud rests just beneath the ear lobe, rather than inside it. The weight and shape of the wire behind the ear insure that the diamond rests straight forward just below the ear lobe, to create an elegant look.

Are 1/5 CT. Diamond Solitaire Stud Earrings a good size diamond earring?

I want to get my girlfriend diamond earrings for Christmas, is 1/5 ct a standard size or is that too small?

Thanks!

<3 What would be a good size?

Buy what you can afford. For ladies, the bigger the better, usually, but don’t go into big debt over diamonds for a girlfriend.

My college room mate and I had an expression when we saw our other male friends buying diamonds for their girlfriends…We said, “Yeah…I’ve already bought my diamonds”, as in that most guys have to do it just once in their lives before they realize what idiots they were because the truth is, most relationships break up for one reason or another. I am not saying that YOUR relationship is going to break up. You may be thinking on marrying her and I wish you the best of luck.

I bought my wife a beautiful 2 carot diamond engagement band in a fishtail platinum gold setting, adorned by four other 1/4 carot diamonds (total gem weight, 3 carrots). This I made up specially via a jeweler in the diamond district of New York that I had flown in to visit, just for this occasion. I was having something made up to match the wedding band I inherited from my mother which was the same setting, but with five equal size 1/4 carot diamonds. So total gem weight on her hand was 4.25 carots and she was so proud to show them off in her work behind the counter at a department store, selling cosmetics. People would look at her hand and ask with envy, “Did Zales spit up on you or what?” and she took great delight in that attention.

Well anyway, we were married for 10 years, separated, and imagine my shock to discover the engagement band I made specially for her, now with the 2 carot diamond wrestled out of it’s setting by obviously, a jewelers tool of some kind. She was dating a pawn shop jeweler at the time (yes when we were still married), and pawned the diamond I bought her to pay the retainer on the incredibly expensive divorce attorney she hired ($450 per hour) which I ended up having to pay half for in the divorce, thus extinguishing the children’s college education fund and our retirement nest egg.

Long story short, don’t go into heavy debt buying your diamonds. Love can be fickle which is why Marilyn Monroe struck a universal chord when she sang the song, “Diamonds are a Girl’s Best Friend!”. Watch the video if you haven’t seen that scene. It might help you from getting blinded by bigger diamonds.

which is more appealing for a cartilage piercing‚ small gold hoop or diamond stud?

Jus got my second one cause I let my first one close. Its a bit lower and looks better this time around. I love studs ans wear two studs on my lobes. For the cartilage I see studs that look good and hoops. A girl at work has like four little hoops and they look nice. Soooo what grabs attention a diamond stud or a small gold hoop?

Cartilage piercing is not my favorite to see. However, I would prefer a diamond stud if I had to choose.

How can i get my Diamond Stud Earring back in? its not a needle but a bar that screws into the diamond.?

I took my earrings out temporarily because they were getting infected. but i have this diamond earring that a bar screw into instead of the needle that just goes through your ear. how do i get the earring back in. do i have to shove the bar through or what? and im afraid that it will hurt a shit load. please help.

My friend has one of those. But it’s for her cartilage. The man told her to take a hot shower or warm shower and then you stick it in. It worked for her and her hole was smallish. And the bar was pretty thick.
