I have a swarovski crystal set I normally wear jeans. Which type and color of top / sweater should I wear?

I recently got a brilliant cut classic Swarovski crystal set as a gift. I normally wear t-shirt and jeans. However, I cannot wear the set with them. Please suggest me the type and color of top/ sweater to set the set off. I want it in a way that it will look casual as well as classic / elegant. I have an Indian wheatish skin tone and I am 25 yrs of age.

Try a light pink turtle neck sweater with dark wash jeans and boots
and wear the crystals, it’ll look very nice.
by the way, Swarovski crystals are very nice, your lucky to have them.

How to Make Rhinestone Belts?

Hey, I like to try new things and I once saw a girl selling these rhinestone belts she made. I’m wondering how she made them? The rhinestones weren’t glued on, there were holes in the leather so they were more sturdy. If anybody has any websites for the basics or advice, I’d appreciate it.

How about using a bedazzler. I have one and they are great. you can get them off of ebay or other sites.

No western attire would be complete without a western belt with an authentic looking belt buckle. It definitely gives a feeling of “the Old West” as seen in the movies. Western design belts go back as far as the beginning of the last century.

Western belts are made in western American influenced designs. They are usually made of the finest leather. Handmade belts are more popular and of course more expensive that the factory created ones. More fancy ones would be studded with rhinestones. Belts made with rhinestones are especially popular among cowgirls. Although the most popular colors for western belts are tan or brown, they are now available in other bolder colors that would be suitable for both men and women. Various designs are also available along with a wide range of western buckles.

Western belt buckles come in unique designs. Many of these designs have been influenced by the old west and few of them have actually completely changed from the original designs. Certain characteristics that need to be available with a cowboy belt or a western belt buckle can only be changed so much. However, whatever the design might be, these belts and buckles certainly tend to make a big impression.

Although leather is still the most popular material being sued to make western belts, manufacturers have ventured into new areas of designs and styles by using snake, crocodile, and alligator skins to make western belts. These have excellent original designs, and tend to look unique. Belts with embossed, printed or stamped designs are also quite popular with cowboys and cowgirls. Western concho belts, and belts that have a basket weave designs are also a popular kind of belts.

Even with the advent of all the mentioned designs and more, leather belts that are embossed in a traditional manner are still the most selling ones due to authentic western look. Belts made of bull hide are also popular models although they are not as fast selling as the leather ones.

Individuals who can afford can get the western belts custom made with basket weaves or imprinted with different designs as preferred. Although these would be fancier and more expensive than the traditional western belts, they are more pronounced all the same. Custom made western belts can be made out of reptile skins viz., alligator, lizard, crocodile, python, karung snake and even from animal hides such as elephant, ostrich, kangaroo skins.

When you are trying to pick out jewelry for yourself it can be hard to choose the piece that is exactly what you need and want, but when you are selecting jewelry for someone else it can be even more difficult. When you are trying to choose a men’s watch, you should keep a few things in mind so the selection process is quick and easy.

When choosing a men’s watch, you should think first about the most obvious question – digital or not. There are many different watches that you can get, both that are digital and not digital, and so the style and the color really shouldn’t be your first priority. You should examine the differences between regular watches and digital watches, and then make your decision.

Choosing between a digital watch and one that isn’t digital might be easy for you, but it might also be difficult. The first thing that you want to think about is the man, and how he likes to read his watch. Most men will have a preference about the way they look at their watch, and digital watches are very different from regular watches.

Therefore, for a man who likes the way that digital watches show him the hours and minutes, he might just enjoy that type of watch. However, for a man who doesn’t like digital watches, you are going to want to go with the regular type of watch. Also, even though you can get watches that are both digital and non digital that are in pretty much the same style, you still want to keep in mind that often digital watches might appear cheaper or not as formal, and if the man really likes to look more formal and put together, he might enjoy a watch that isn’t digital.

Keep in mind though that digital watches are usually packed with features that are appealing to many men, especially those that are very active. Take your time and understand exactly how the different digital watches work and what different features the have, so you can find just what you are looking for.

In many ways, a digital watch is going to give your guy something else that he might like, such as a calendar, a stopwatch, and other features. However, many of the classic looking watches that aren’t digital will also have small calendar on the face. Many men just use the second hand on a regular watch as a stopwatch. When choosing a men’s watch, there are some big decision to make.

Once you’ve decided between a regular watch and a digital watch, there are still a few more decisions to make on your quest to pick out the perfect watch. The first thing is the style. This will include both the band and the fact of the watch. Some of the regular watches and most of the digital watches have bands that are rubber or plastic. This is great if the man works out a lot, or if he is often out doing things in a more causal way. Yet, for a man that dresses in a suit everyday or enjoys looking smart, you may desire to choose a gold or silver men’s watch since this will match his tastes much better. The band is an important aspect of how the watch will look on the man, so take your time when choosing the style of the watch.

It is important for you to be able to get as much out of your decision for your men’s watch, so that you can make him happy and find exactly what he is looking for. It is going to be very important for you to think through your choice very carefully so that you can find exactly what you are looking for.

Consider a man’s diamond watch as a gift to remember.

I want to learn to make fashion accessories. What would I need, and how would I do it?

I was wondering how difficult it would be to make fashion accessories such as belts, bracelets, etc. (perhaps even how one would do rhinestones and similar detailing) and what I would need to go about doing that. Any information would be helpful. Suggested Books and online references would be a plus.

For beading necklaces & bracelets, tools you will need to start are a pair of chain nose pliers, round nose pliers, flush wire cutters, crimping pliers (to be used with crimping beads on wire). These are basics and will need more as you progress with jewelry making.
Other items to get started-
Stringing material- many types to use but some are better depending on the type of beads you will be using. The most versatile thing to use for general stringing is nylon coated wire that comes in different strand sizes and gauges. Brand names are- Softflex, Beadalon and Accuflex – there are many more out there but these are good ones. Strand sizes basically 7 strand, 19 strand, and 49 strand. THe more strands the more flexible. The strand number means there are that many strands of wire inside the nylon coating… you will learn as you go though. Gauge size depends on what you will be stringing on. General good size to have is .015 or .018. All this info is indicated on the spool of wire. This is what you use crimp beads on.
Other stringing materials- Monofilament, Stretch Magic (stretchy clear cord) Nymo thread- Wire is more likely going to be used most as you progress.
Ok so I could go on all night, I am going to add a link that I found most useful for all kinds of info on beading and techniques. I would start with a kit from your local craft store that has a mix of beading materials in it and buy your pliers ( those usually come in sets too). I started out with one made by readers digest and it had different stringing materials, beads and other findings in it with a book for detailed instructions. Start with projects that have some instructions so you get the feel of it and learn your techniques. The link I am adding really has instruction for everything you will need to start out and lots of reference materials.
For using rhinestones to decorate with, Swarovski makes wonderful hotfix crystals but you will need a tool called a bejeweler to apply them, otherwise you can buy regular flat back rhinestones and use glue specifically for this, I use GemTac. It works great!
Ok here is your link, make sure you browse through all the reference material and they have lots of instructions to, cause I could go on forever and don’t want to make it sound overwhelming because it’s great fun!

0.2 diamond 9 carat ring, White gold. Please read on?

Hi is a 0.2 diamond 9 carar ring, white gold mens wedding ring good, is it a good diamond? If that makes any sense. haha. xx

Diamond carats are measured differently to gold carats. Gold carats measure quality whereas diamond carats are a measurement of weight. A 0.2 carat diamond is likely to be very small. The carat cannot tell you anything about the quality of the diamond though- this is judged by the colour, cut and clarity as well.
Diamond colour is measured on a chart which runs from D-Z (beyond that are deeply coloured diamonds known as fancy diamonds). D category is colourless and known for its clear, icy qualities. This is the best you can get and usually used in collection-quality jewellery. G category diamonds are what is usually used in commercial jewellery and are still perfectly fine (though you probably don’t want to go lower than G). You should look at the colour rating before buying.

Next look at the clarity. If the diamond has lots of inclusions (scratches and blemishes within the stone) it is not the best diamond. Clarity is broken down into:
•Flawless, Internally Flawless – IF
•Very Very Slightly Included – VVSI
•Very Slightly Included – VSI
•Slightly Included – SI
•Included – I

You’ll find most commercial diamonds are VVSI, VSI or SI

9ct gold is a good level to go for for a wedding ring as they are worn all the time and higher carat golds are softer and more prone to wear and tear.
I hope this is helpful.

What is the best glue use to bind studs and rhinestones to clothing?

It is a new trend in clothing. Clothing manufacturers use glue to bind rhinestones and studs to their product to make it more appealing. Does anyone know which the best fabric glue for that job is? For example we can find rhinestones and studs on Ed Hardy and Christian Audigier clothing line. Thanks.

Many lines such as Ed Hardy use embellishments with heat set adhesives. Many crystals, stones and nailheads are manufactured with a hot-fix adhesive on the back. A special tool that looks similar to a soldering iron is used to quickly melt the glue and attach the stone to the item. These hot-fix embellishments are far more durable and less likely to fall off due to careless consumer laundering and cleaning methods. I’ve found dry cleaning is murder on glue set embellishments, while hot fix embellishments are more resistant to damage from dry cleaning. I’ve switched to exclusively heat set or old fashioned metal prong set; I simply have too many issues with cold glue sets. In my business the final nail in the coffin for glue sets was the time factor, it takes less time to use hot fix embellishments than to glue and place and wait for the piece to dry. Rhinestone guy has tools, rhinestones, information, and tips on high end embellishments. Creative Crystal sells a hot fix tool and crystals suitable for a hobbyist who wants to add sparkle to anything.

Get another similar chain and compare the two, gold ones should weigh more, but since it’s only 14K, it’s not that heavy.

Law requires stamping on all precious metal jewelries, so if you bought it in the US, it should be real.
