Men wearing jewelery has been condemned in the past especially during the time when society did not accept this practice. Although it has been shown in the history books that men of the earlier times did wear jewelery, it has become unacceptable in the succeeding eras. It was only in the mid-twentieth century that men wearing jewelery has become acceptable again as style icons such as musicians, celebrities, and sportsmen have started wearing jewelery as part of their packaging.

There are different kinds of men’s jewelery available for one to choose from and these ranges from gold to silver to platinum and even leather. Most jewelery for men are almost similar to women’s as they come in bracelets, necklaces, rings, and yes, even earrings. Earrings as part of the men’s ensemble are probably one of the last pieces of jewelery for men that were accepted in the society because they were once thought to be largely for the female species. But now with the emergence of trends, earrings for men are widely accepted in the different parts of the world already.

While men’s earrings can be made of different materials, the most recommended one is the one made out of silver. The metal silver used in the manufacture for these earrings are alloyed with copper to create a more durable material called sterling. Although not purely silver, sterling is one very workable material that is perfect when creating men’s earrings. Aside from the materials used to make silver earrings, it is also important to note that there are two types of earrings commonly used by men, and these are the stud earrings and hoop earrings. A stud earring is just like a single dot that one can see adorning the ears of men. This stud can consist of precious stones such as diamonds. Hoop earrings; on the other hand, is formed like a ring that is hanged on the lower part of the outer ear.

There are different types of silver hoop earrings that one can choose from since these earrings do not just come in plain forms but also in the many different designs there is. One such design is the double hoop earrings which are made by two overlapping hoops to create an earring that is held in place by latch backs. Another design of silver hoop earrings is the huggie which is a thicker version of the usual hoop earring. This type of hoop earring is very simple yet elegant. Other wonderful designs of hoop earrings are those that consist of two or more metals in its make such as gold and silver, platinum and gold, titanium and gold, and all the other variations these selections can make.

One does not have to worry when choosing the right silver hoop earrings for his facial frame since most of these earrings are designed to fit just about anyone. The choice for hoop earrings is also countless especially in shops that offer jewelery online like Homme Rock since these shops make sure to bring business to their clients in the most professional way.

Silver hoop earrings are associated with the three Cs’ of jewelry namely classic, contemporary and comfortable. Therefore the choice of silver hoop earrings is based on these three factors which vary from one individual to another. Some women may prefer sterling loop earrings with a small loop where as other women may consider large circles as being trendy and may feel comfortable in them.

Silver hoop earrings are commonly referred to as the circle of fashion through ages because they have been a part of the classic style for many generations. When it comes to selecting the perfect pair of silver loop earrings, women with long hair are generally advised to wear large hoops where as small hoops are a universal style which can serve as trendy accessories for the ears.

Silver hoop earrings can be bought either online or from a jewelry store but before launching on a search for these loop earrings, it is imperative for the individual to realize the type of hoop which is sought by him or her. Although traditional sterling hoop earrings are round and circular equipped with a lever-back or a snap-back closure, the last decade has been witness to innovation in this category due to which nowadays silver loop earrings are now found in a variety of shapes like squares, pentagons and other misshapen figures.

Silver hoop earrings may be small, broad, thin or large and may consist of any number of hoops like single, double or triple in form of drops. Different sizes of hoops are meant to match with different attire in the sense that an evening at the mall in jeans would require a particular size of hoops whereas a corporate meeting at the office would require a size of hoops which seems suitable for the occasion.

Silver loop earrings can be embellished with diamonds, pearls and other precious stones depending on the choice of the wearer. The stones as well as pearls can either be small enough in size to round the entire circumference of the hoop or large in size to be placed only on the inner as well as the outer edges of the hoop.

Silver hoop earrings with pearl drops are ageless and tend to suit every occasion whether formal or informal where as double hoop designer 925 earrings are meant for the young, college-going crowd. The small and medium-sized silver loop earrings lend an elegant look to the wearer regardless of the current trend and the age.

A discussion about sterling hoop earrings would be incomplete without the mention of sterling silver hoop earrings which represent a designer work of art and are considered by many to be truly classy.

Silver hoop earrings serve as jewelry for men and women alike as there are many designs to choose from. They may be in form of double loop earrings which consists of two overlapping hoops which are held in place by latch-backs or a huggie which is a thicker version of the usually found silver loop earrings.

Everyone has heard of Swarovski’s Austrian Crystal, but what, exactly is Czech crystal glass? Czech crystal is a glass that is made in present-day Czechoslovakia, or the Czech Republic. Czech crystal is in fact, much older in origin than Swarovski’s. Prior to the formation of the country of Czechoslovakia, the entire region was known as Bohemia. In that region, the products made there were known as Bohemian crystal, or Bohemian glass. This is the crystal that all of our grandparents used to collect and is still used in jewelry and collectible items today.

Glass has been made in the Czech region since the early Bronze Age. At that time, the area was primarily occupied by the Celts. The glass-making tradition continued through to the Benedictine Monks, who used it to produce religious items such as drinking glasses adorned with beads, rosaries, and adornments in cathedrals. Special intricate engraving and cutting started in the 16th century under Emperor Rudolph II. During the 17th and 18th centuries, the popularity of Czech crystal and glass surpassed even that of the Venetians! This lasted until World War II, which pretty much wiped the area’s production and popularity until very recent times.

The main difference between Czech crystal beads and Swarovski’s Crystal beads, is the lead content. Czechoslavkia’s products are, in fact, just cut glass. The Czechs do not use lead in the production of their beads, they just cut the beads in so many facets that they sparkle naturally! Best of all, their lead-free products are suitable for use in the new CPSIA Jewelry Laws for Children!

Bridesmaids are the faithful, caring attendants of the bride at weddings. Usually, they’re girls or young women that bear some relational association to the upcoming bride, either a close friend or relative. They attend to the bride before and after a wedding ceremony. They’re usually the ones in the movies that buoy the bride, listen to her fears, cheer her on, help her with preparations, and pass on the collective excitement. The maid of honor is the most esteemed bridesmaid, and she plays a principal part. There is no fixed bridesmaid quantity because the decision has historically been left to the bride. The size of the bridesmaid group is sometimes associated, as a reflection, with wealth, success, or, obviously, how popular the bride is.

The term has wrought an idiom in modern times that glumly says, “always the bridesmaid, never the bride.” This phrase is set aside for those delegated to a role of prime importance, yet they always fall short of the high honor or central import of an event.

The history of bridesmaids dates back to Roman times when an army of similarly clad bridesmaids would accompany the bride to the new husband’s locale or village. In essence, these guards would protect the bride from robbers and bandits. In later times, the Romans made it a law to have 10 witnesses present at a wedding in order to ward off evil, magical spirits that were determined to destroy the marriage’s fruitful conception and progress. These attendants, both bridesmaids and ushers, dressed in identical wear to the groom and bride, thus confusing the evil spirits that wished harm on the couple-to-be.

Bridesmaids are customarily given gifts for their efforts and the bride’s appreciation of their inherent qualities. After all, they’re the ones the bride has chosen to publicly accompany her on the most important day of her new life. Some good gifts are necklaces, earrings, stark white & long gloves, and the wedding day attire itself. Personalized gifts that commemorate the day’s special events and the bridesmaids’ participation, especially ones that are valuable too, are particularly appealing. They mark a feeling of togetherness and shared experiences. It’s much more personal than a gift certificate. If the wedding is at a tropical travel destination, consider a bounteous gift of a day’s treatment at the spa. Just make sure that someone is there to take a picture afterward. Have it framed specially and send a copy to all the bridesmaids for their children and their grandchildren. Make an impact with your gift choice that won’t be forgotten. Handmade scarves, bracelets, wine glasses, chocolates, bottles of wine, bath salts, body products, scented candles, etc. are all genuinely good too.

Dresses for bridesmaids are a particularly important element, and they come in Bella Satin, Chiffron, Crystal Chiffron, Duchess Satin, Matte Satin, Nu-Georgette, Organdy, Renaissance Satin, and others. They come in royal blue, midnight, mocha, ginger, flame, sage green, forest green, frosty white, rose, ruby, sapphire, sorbet, sugar plum, tangerine, taupe, ruby, perwinkle, and bright pink, plus many more colors.

Billie Jean was one of Michael Jackson’s biggest hits and is the first music video to break the color barrier when it was played on MTV. Before the song’s release, no other African-American video had been played on air. Billie Jean was more than a ground breaking video though; it was a stylistic, artistic video and with it came Michael’s stylish and dramatic wardrobe as well.

With his passing, there are sure to be plenty of Michael fans who will be wearing the look that best captures their favorite image of the King of Pop, whether it was from his childhood or beyond. The Billie Jean look is sure to get plenty of representation this year and beyond.

Regardless of how old you were when it was first released or whether you are a fan or not, the Billie Jean video had something for nearly everybody. Not just a pop song, not quite a rock song, it bridged the gap between the two genres like no other song could and Jackson spanned that gap like no other man could.

This costume starts with the jacket, black with onyx sequins. A black button down shirt with sparkly silver sequins is also included. The costume’s look is completed with the included silver sequin glove and matching socks. The jacket and shirt come in adult sizes M-L and the gloves and socks are one-size fits most. You add your own pants and shoes to this costume. For an authentic look, aim to have the pants hit you at just above the ankle like in the video and show off your dazzling, sparkly socks for dramatic flair.

Additional accessories for the Billie Jean video costume include the Michael Jackson wig and make up kits. If you really want to rock the look, practice some of MJ’s top dance moves and bring along the Billie Jean music to play as you enter the room for effect. After all, Michael did not get to be the King of Pop because he was shy and retiring and if you are going to pay tribute to the man, you should at least come near some of his razzle dazzle and showmanship.

If you really want to make a splash at your wedding reception, you are going to need dramatic and eye-catching centerpieces for the tables. The demure little vase of white roses is simply not going to do the trick! No matter what style your wedding is going to be, there is a tall and dramatic centerpiece that will be perfect.

Height in a centerpiece can come from a variety of factors, either individually, or in combination with one another. The first one is to use tall vases. The floral arrangements need not be particularly tall if the vases have a grand height. Another option is to use medium height vessels, but to set them on boxes or risers to give them a lift. Using tall natural elements like twigs or flowering branches is another wonderful way to create drama. A final option is less common, which is to have long centerpieces that suspend down from the ceiling, rather than trying to build up from the table top.

Your centerpieces should suit the general style of your wedding. For instance, if you are having a formal wedding and wearing a fancy silk gown with tons of sparkling crystal bridal jewelry, then the tall vases might be ideal for your reception. Either plan to rent antique looking silver vases from a specialty shop, or for a more modern effect, use towering clear glass vessels. A trumpet shape is lovely for a more formal or traditional wedding, whereas a very tall square vase would look cool for a hip loft wedding.

Renting or buying specialty vessels can get very expensive very quickly, which is why some couples prefer to use risers to elevate more standard vessels. You should still be certain to select vases with a vertical thrust for the most drama, rather than low round ones. The great thing about putting your centerpieces on risers is that you can use a collection of two or three different heights together on one table, and place a small arrangement on each. This allows you to get really creative, both in terms of the risers and the centerpieces themselves.

For an earthy wedding, place three small bamboo or wooden boxes in the center of each table. Each vessel can be filled with a different natural element, such as one with a floating candle, another with a submerged flower, and a third filled with smooth river rocks. There are endless adaptations to this concept. If you are going for a nightclub effect at your reception, the risers can be mirrored boxes, and you can fill each vase with a different type of orchid or candle. Add to the drama by filling the bottom of your vases with a different color of glittering Swarovski crystal beads, which will dance and twinkle like fabulous bridal jewelry in the light bouncing between the mirrored boxes and the candles.

Another terrific way to create height and drama at your reception is to design your centerpieces around tall branches, topiaries, or even potted miniature trees. These elements can be utilized to create one-of-a-kind displays for any theme or style of wedding, from modern to elegant to Asian inspired to eco-friendly. If you prefer to decorate from the top down, think about substituting long strings of flowers or even origami cranes in clusters over the center of each table at the reception. The effect will be absolutely breathtaking and truly original, which after all, is exactly what every bride wants for her wedding.

The UK jewellery market is huge. With a wealth of different companies operating in a very competitive marketplace, jewellery products can be found almost anywhere. They are highly sought after products and customers come from far and wide to purchase them. Of course, there are many different jewellery items customers can buy, but what is important is that the customer finds something they like and they also experience a pleasant shop that will enable them to come back.

The jewellery market is made up of many different items. Some of the popular ones include necklaces, bracelets, pendants and earrings. However, there is one item that is purchased more than anything else – rings. Rings are purchased in the UK on an extremely large scale and take up the majority of the jewellery market. There are many different types of rings in the UK that people can buy and here is a list of some of the features people would look for when purchasing them.

Firstly, rings are made of different materials. The most common ones are silver and gold, whilst platinum rings are becoming more and more popular in recent years. White gold rings are also sometimes purchased whilst tungsten, stainless steel, palladium and two-colour gold can also be found at selected retailers up and down the country.

Second, different rings have different stone types. Again the most common ones are cubic zirconia and diamond rings, whilst sapphire, pearl, ruby, topaz, tanzanite, opal, garnet, swarovski crystal, aquamarine, crystal, onyx, amethyst, citrine, emerald, peridot and quartz can also be purchased. Obviously, some are better than others but again it always comes down to what each individual customer wants and what they like best.

Third, there are further different types of rings in the UK. Different stone shapes can be found at a variety of retailers. Some of the most common ones include brilliant, round and heart, whilst oval, emerald, marquise, princess, baguette and square can also be found. Again, different styles appeal to different consumers. Some consumers like big square rings to go with their own style whilst other, perhaps more sophisticated ladies will only ever wear princess cut rings.

There are many other factors too which affect the look and style of rings. Colour is one of these as one colour can make a ring look completely different from the next. Carat weight can also make a big impact on the style, particularly in terms of its sparkle and gleam.

Rings can also be bought for different occasions, and some of the most special ones are made specifically as engagement rings and wedding rings. These can be however, at the top end of the market and are only ever purchased for the occasion.

So as you have read, there are many different types of rings in the UK and all of them are suitable for someone somewhere. It is always the individual’s decision which one to buy but a decision will be made with all the necessary information to hand and based on which one they like best.

The author works for Ernest Jones and rings can be found at Ernest Jones.
